"For now... I can feel the cold winds of leaf-bare crawling up my pelt every morning. We're lucky it wasn't terribly cloudy today or we might have seen frost around the streams." Evening was cool, not quite what she'd wanted to tell herself. Leaf-bare would be brutal but the season for mates as well, kits would be born late spring around this time.

The sun was sinking behind the trees, making the sky look yellow and red which would be romantic for petty couples out there somewhere. He'd seen it so many times, some cheesy action implying how 'in love' they were. Watching Iceheart pace about, he found it strange the she-cats seemed so quiet these days.

Embersoul stretched and pulled herself out of the hole, under a flat rock,that she had been laying in.She sniffed the air,apparently some cats were close by.She padded to the scent.She came across some of her clan mates sitting together,trying to get warm.She flicked her tail and made her way back to camp.As she entered the camp she saw Iceheart pacing."What got under her pelt?"she thinks,not really caring,she turns and sees Darkheart watching Iceheart's every move.She smirks and then makes her way over to the fresh kill pile.

Embersoul looks over the fresh-kill pile.Several small mice, two scrawny birds and a vole is what it composes of."And leaf-bare is now upon us!"she says to herself with a sigh.She decides to skip a meal since she isn't too hungry,"Better to save it for the kits."she thinks.
She pads under a nearby bush and lays down,watching the cats around her.

Embersoul looks around,growing more bored,and cold,by the minute.Mostly all she sees is cats lying around."Don't they have anything better to do?"she thinks.
Then she smiles,she just realized what most were doing.They were making eyes at each other.
"How sickening,"she thinks,disgusted,"That's all we need!More mouths to feed when their kits come!"
She glances at the different cats and then her gaze stops on Iceheart and Darkheart.
"Ugh,"she thinks,"not them too!"
Iceheart and Darkheart were the last two cats she thought would fall in love.Which is probably why their semi-friendship was getting along so well.Embersoul personaly thought they would have killed each other by now."Its probably because they both hate the same thing."she thinks,"Me."
Embersoul shrugs,it doesn't matter to her what they do.She could care less.
