Ashstrike tipped his head to the side, remembering the cat. "Did Stormstar want Rootfur dead?"

Cinderstep

"Haha, it's a fatal flaw of mine." She meowed back, feeling a lot better. Standing to her paws, once he was done, she gave him a quick lick on the cheek, as a thanks, and began to head out.

"Starclan, no! He was in so much grief when his old deputy died. I was informed that Rootfur fell of a large, and broke most bones in his body from impact. Not every cat falls on their feet."

Goldenclaw
He nodded in the thanks and followed the She-cat.

"Sorry," he meowed, dipping his head. "I just had to check. But, I don't think Stormstar made a mistake."

Cinderstep

As she passed the camp, and the leader's den, Cinderstep could hear cat's voices from inside. [i]Probably just the deputy and Flowerstar chatting.[i] She thought to herself, padding along. Soon Cinderstep slipped out the the camp, pausing to make sure Goldenclaw was close.

[Kaidaft]

Flowerstar
"You know, if I hadn't been made deputy, I probably would have ended up killing my father, but also killing of the rest of the clan."
She said, her head dipped.
"I think StarClan saw this coming and took action."

Goldenclaw
He laughed enough she stopped.
"I'm here, I'm not slow, ya know."

Dipping his head, he nodded, "Starclan knows how to shape cat's lives towards the greater good." He meowed, with a flick of his ears. "It's a good thing they made you deputy- you've also become a great leader. I admire you."

Cinderstep

"Haha, sorry! It's just a habit!' She meowed lightly, her pretty green eyes sparkling in the darkness. "Anyways, lets go!" And with that, she happily stolled down the path with the tom.

[Kaidaft]

Flowerstar
She looked to the night sky.
"Admire?"

Goldenclaw
His deep blue eyes looked into hers.
"Your eyes. They are beautiful."

"You've done well with the clan." He said simply, following her line of gaze to the sky. It was a pretty night.

Cinderstep

A blush formed on her face, as she almost tripped over her paws. "Th-Thank you, you also have really nice blue eyes." She meowed back.

Flowerstar
"I work hard to keep this clan well"
She looked at him.
"Some take being leader as a joke, and that they don't need extra lives. I was one of them. Now I realized how hard this is. And how I DO need these lives. Or I'd be dead long ago.

Goldenclaw
He chuckled at her mistake.

"I can imagine," Ashstrike replied, looking back towards her. "You risk your life to save the clan, because you know that everybody else only has one. It's... Amazing."

Cinderstep

Cinderstep laughed too, continuing on. "Y'know, I wake up a lot at night because of nightmares, so I often find myself coming down this path..

She smiled. "You are so much more than the others"

Goldenclaw
He looked surprised at her comment.
"Well, if you ever have another, wake me and I'll come with you down this path so you won't be so lonely."
He said with a sly smile.
