Snailpaw moved away from the nursery, then made a double-take as she spotted her mentor. Finally! Excitement welled up inside her and she raced towards Winterpelt, tail held high.
"Hello, Winterpelt," she panted when she finally reached her, blinking up at her.

The brown and white molly nodded excitedly. Anything to get her outside camp.
"Okay! I really want to learn how to catch a bird better. Whenever i try, i rip its feathers, or tear it up. That's a little embarrassing..."

--------------Hareleap returned to camp, a grouse clutched in his jaws. He padded to the freshkill pile and dropped his catch before catching sight of Patchedpelt, a she-cat he found quite attractive. She seemed to be carrying... what were those things? Kits? his eyes went wide and he scrambled for what to say to her.

Taking a few minutes to collect himself, Hareleap ventured cautiously to the nursery. When he heard Windtail say fever, both of them he rushed inside - he couldn't bear it if she lost them.

-------"Patchedpelt! Are you alright? Are they bothering you?" his eyes were wide, frantic, hastily he looked for the two kits and could not find them - although their smell still lingered. "Why have you separated Patchedpelt from her kits?" he demanded, furious that Ravenstar would allow the kits from their mother at such an early age.

Werent BirchFrost, AmberFur and BarkFur suppoused to go hunting?}

"Her kits were sick, but she refuses to leave them. How else would you think I could get WindTail give the young ones medicine?" She questioned sternly from HareLeap before turning her attention to PatchedPelt who was already rushing towards the medicine cat den.

Sunpaw heard Patchedpelt, then blocked her, saying " Windtail wont do anything to harm your kits. You just need to calm down, ok? They're going to be fine." She used a calm voice, trying to calm the short-tempered queen.

The kit looked at the herbs, then sniffed them, saying " The smell yucky!" He didn't want to eat them, then he coughed a bit. He licked the catmint, then ate the yucky herbs. He was about to gag, then swallowed them, saying " They taste yucky too!"

"But they will help you get better." He meowed calmly and nudged the kit outside."Now go, your mother is waiting." He meowed and turned to the coal black kit. He carefully nudged the herbs closer to the kits mouth, gently helping the kit eat them.

PatchedPelt
"Out of my way!" She hissed angrily towards SunPaw before seeing one of her kits."Where´s the other?!" She asked in a light growl.

The kit slowly ate the herbs, but instead of being cured, she began to cough heavily. Soon enough, the kit could not breath. Despite WindTails efforts, the young kit died.

He stared at his jet-black paws. They were so muddy! He chuckled to himself. He hated being dirty, so he began to clean them. Gentle licks, flicking away at the dried mud. He huffed. This was as boring as rubbing mouse bile on ticks- though at least he was licking his paws rather than the bile.

His ears flattend sadly and he let out a griveing yowl. He gently nosed at the kits lifeless body, but it was too late. Sadly, he picked up the young kit and carried her outside.

PatchedPelt
Her eyes widend in disbelief at the sight of her lifeless kit."H- How... Dare you!" She hissed in anger and launched herself at the medicine cat, clawing and scraping at him with all her anger.

RavenStar
"PatchedPelt!" She yowled and went after the queen, despratley trying to pull her off of the medicine cat. Her fangs dug deep in her scruff as she dragged the hissing queen off of WindTail.

"What's that queen up to now?" She went over to the one kit who survived, "Don't worry your mommy is just having a bit of a... Fit!"

Sunpaw sighed, then went into the den to go and get some thyme and chamomile. She found the mouse that the queen was going to eat, then she sliced it open with a claw, then put the herbs in, covering them up with some fur. She padded back out of the den, and then over to the medicine den again, getting some lavender and started to lick the dead kit's fur so it was smooth. She started rubbing the lavender on, then when she finished, she helped Ravnestar with Patchedpelt.

He mewled, then looked at his mom. He backed away, scared, and into the nursery. He curled up into a ball, still scared.
