The two elders looked at each other and Beetleclaw snorted obnoxiously.
Pigeonfeather hurriedly spoke before her mate could.
"She's not technically doing anything wrong. She is being disrespectful, but that's not the worst thing she could be doing."


Snailpaw's ears were swiveled towards the nursery as she watched Patchedpelt disappear inside. Her heart raced and she padded over to see them, but skidded to a halt just outside the den at the queen's words. Snailpaw herself wasn't a queen. Did this mean she couldn't go in? She blinked her yellow eyes, craning her neck in attempts to see inside. But at the sound of approaching pawsteps, she moved aside, staring at Ravenstar and Windtail. She silently wished them good luck.

He wailed, then coughed a bit, then started wailing again. He lifted his head, and then coughed a bit more.

She quickly pulled her kits closer to herself, a hiss escaping her throat."My kits are fine, RavenStar." She growled towards the leader.

Her ears lightly flattend as she sighed."But you do want the best for them, correct? WindTail is a proffesional, so why can´t he just have a look to make sure?" She meowed in a soothing voice.

She looked at her mouse and took a bite of it, ignoring the mates who were speaking to her. The elder looked at them, "The medicine cat must be respected!"

The kit coughed a bit again, then tried wiggling away from his mother, who was starting to squeeze him. He coughed a bit again, then looked at the two bigger cats.

RavenStar offerd LeopardFur to come and talk, but then she had to go talk to PatchedPelt.}

Her ears flattend angrily."Fine!" She hissed, and pulled her kits lightly closer with her tail.

She nodded lightly towards PatchedPelt, before letting out a call for WindTail. The leader then moved out of the nursery to make room.

WindTail
He enterd the den without a word, and ignored PatchedPelts growls as he approached the kits. He sniffed at the black kit before turning his attention to the golden tom."This one seems to have a light cough and fever. This means, his sibling will have one too, soon." He meowed calmly and gently picked up the two kits before carrying them away without even bothering to ask premisson.

Pigeonfeather flicked her tail at Froststripe before laying her head down in her nest.

Antlerclaw drew in a breath to calm himself before he regathered his composure. He momentarily closed his eyes before opening them again. They were a hint less bright with questions, and a bit darker.
"You're my apprentice. The worst thing for a mentor to hear from their apprentice is that they're not ready. ...So tell me what needs to be retaught."

"Hey!" She hissed furiously and began to storm after, but as quickly blocked by RavenStar."Let me through!" She growled, claws unleashing.

"WindTail will bring you kits back in a second. There´s no need to fuss over them like this." She spoke quite sternly as she stood infront of the nursery, blocking any exits.

He took the kits to his den, gently placing them down into an open nest before starting to search for the correct herbs. He picked up some feverfew and a little amount of catmint. He placed both of the herbs infront of the kits, nuding them to eat the herbs.
