What's one (or more) feature/theme of a closed specie(s) that you think is overused? Or could be done better?

Food based species, and food based adopts, they can be cute but it's always the same food over and over like types of cake. Also those weird fluffy dragon tails, I see them everywhere and most of the time they are of no benefit to the species. If the species has a certain feature it needs to mean something, eg. It has fins because it lives underwater not just because it looks cool. Tbh though I've never been interested in closed species, they sell for loads but there are so many now, there's always a new one in style.

What's one (or more) feature/theme of a closed specie(s) that you think is underused?

Everything is overused nowadays it's hard to think of something that isn't, I'd say giant species arnt around much, you see a lot of tiny fits-in-your-palm ones but no massive town destroying ones which I always feel are more realistic.
