She slowly in hailed. "I was upset you didn't give Shadowkit the respect he deserves. Me and him decided on a name for him, Coalkit, and he told me you didn't care for him. He's like every other kit... It's just his heritage. It's not his fault Bluefeather's mother."

Rainstar frowned. "Does he really feel that way? I didn't mean to come across as unwelcoming to him, but I suppose he could feel the tension. But it certainly wasn't because of him. Bluefeather is a medicine cat and medicine cats aren't allowed to take mates or have kits. If she took care of him now that would be going against the warrior code. Currently it is Bluefeather's decision on what she's going to do as she can only pick one or the other. But whatever her decision, I hold no ill will towards Coalkit - he hasn't done anything wrong. He is welcome here." The words just kept coming as she laid near Orchardkit. She probably shouldn't be discussing this with a kit, but she felt Orchardkit should know what was going on and why. Especially since she seemed to make friends with him so quickly.

Spottedkit woke again when she heard her leader call for Orchard kit in the nursery. She stifled a small gasp in surprise from the suddeness, but pretended to be asleep. She was listening in on Rainstar and Orchardkit's conversation. 'So he decided to take on the name Coalkit, eh?' she thought, curious.

"Well I know Gatorfoot doesn't watch his mouth when he tells you kits stories so I assumed it was him. Whitemuzzle would probably be mortified if she knew she accidentally taught you a curse." Rainstar grinned at the orange kit and stood up. 'Smart kit. Might have trouble with back talking her mentor if she can't hold her tongue. She'll need someone patient if she doesn't grow out of that.' she noted to herself. "But now that we've gotten that miscommunication cleared up, I'll be heading back to my den unless you know where Coalkit scampered off to."

Hollowkit squirmed and twitched herself awake much to her disappointment and her gaze landed not on any of her siblings, but on Spottedkit, who's breathing was too irregular for her to be sleeping. "Why are you still up?" the hairless kit questioned with a tiny harsh whisper, "You eavesdropping, Spottedkit? Eh?"
