Skye winced. "Ok.... But... I thought you were going to die...'' She said. "I guess I panicked." She added, giving off a sweet giggle as she draped her wing over the mare. "Come on... We need to rest.."

Aquila wasn't planning on telling Skye that she was been a hair away from it. Nor that she was still close, as there was still a lot of water in her lungs they were yet unable to get out. "Skye..." She muttered, leaning against her tiredly. There was something she could tell. "They want to transfer me back to Canterlot, for more watchful care."

Skye smiled. "Well... I'll see you again once I finish this race." She said, resting against the mare on the medical bed they shared. "But you gotta promise me something." She added, looking serious.

She lifted her head slightly. "What?" Aquila asked quietly, tilting her head towards the pegasus.

"You gotta promise me that you'll be alive and well when I meet you in Canterlot." Skye said, holding her hoof over Aquila's. "Promise?"

"Promise." Aquila told her. "If..." She faultered. "If I'm not at the hospital, go to the castle and ask for Star Seeker, alright?" She told her. "That's where I'll be."

Skye nodded. "You got it babe." She said, blushing and feeling a little silly for calling her that. She gently kissed her and kept her close. "I'll see you soon."

Aquila would regret that very soon, more likely than not. "Mmhm." Aquila murmured. It probably wouldn't be long until she was sent back. The doctors here were worried about her.

Skye still felt a slight unease, but hoped she was just worrying too much. She kept as close to Aquila as possible while she still could, knowing that she would be taken away at any moment.

"Wooow. Look at you two." It was a while later when Moon Bright returned. "Well Aquila, I'm your escort back to Canterlot. Lucky you because I have to come back afterward."

Aquila snorted softly. "Skye, good luck." She muttered. "I know you can do it. And... I'm sorry." The last bit was a bit cryptic, due to a pause obviously showing it wasn't related to the race.
