Coming back from a trip to scout the herd, Sahara came upon the scene. She felt her body trembling, but could make no noise. She felt sorrow at the thought of the death of a pup, and her tail tucked. her head dipped with sorrow. She hadn't known the pup well, but any pup's death was a sorrowful thing.

She turned to Sahara with a saddened look

Sahara lifted her gaze to her leader, then dropped it, murmuring to the mother, "I'm so sorry for your loss..." she thought to herself, that she would make her report on the herds' location later.

Naila looked at Sahara."Its ok, although i will miss him deeply." she replied. Naila was thinking in her head, Oh i swear i want to kill that bear's whole family! Naila sat down slowly and dipped her head down at her pup and closed her eyes.

She sat beside the queen "Where would you like his burial?"

Sahara touched her nose to the other queen's shoulder in a comforting gesture, then padded off, body carried as if she were bearing a great burdon. She sat in front of the hunters' den, but didn't go in.

Naila looked at Kitarna."Can we bury him where other creatures won't dig him up?" she asked her."I don't want his body to be lunch, and he still has meat on him." she finished.

Sahara had known the loss of a pup before, when she was hardly of age, she'd gotten pregnant, but the pregnancy had failed, and her then-mate had left her for it. For moons after that, she'd been a walking zombie, until she came upon this pack, where she was one of them, accepted. She laid down with her head on her paws, ears flat. She didn't wish that pain on anyone.
