"I didn't say who caught the biggest, only who caught the most!" Bluepaw objected, turning her gaze back to the river and holding her paw at an angle. She was silent for a moment before swiping forward and hooking another fish, though not as big as Mousepaws, but good enough to eat.

"I still caught more than you!" Mousepaw spotted another fish and swiped at it, but he had forgotten about the fish he had just caught and slipped on it. He fell into the river and came back to the surface sputtering water out his mouth. "You tell nobody that happened"

Mousepaw climbed back on shore. "Fine! You catch a fish" Mousepaw looked Bluepaw in the eyes making sure she wouldn't notice him sliding the fish in front of her paws. Mousepaw didn't want took look away from Bluepaw's yellow green eyes, so he didn't. "Let's see what you pull out of the river"

As Skydream resolved the matter for him he smiled to show his thanks and began to walk again with Forbiddensong by his side. "So what were we talking about again?" he asked still feeling awkward.

Firepaw walked back into camp with a plump thrush he felt proud of himself for the great catch. Firepaw was about to put it into the fresh kill pile before he saw Sagepaw he didn't know why but he knew he liked her even though it was wrong. "Hey wanna share this with me?" he said flicking his tail softly towards the thrush.
