Shadow: Tags - Dusty, Doc

Shadow was surprised that Dusty spoke up, it seemed rather brave of him given the situation, though he HAD just phoned up a weapons distributer demanding a meeting so.... Maybe it was the high. However, he noticed he had a very good point, if Doc was there, then Carew WOULD recognize Doc..... Shadow nodded despite herself, tapping her tire a little too. She more stayed silent, until he turned to her, saying about how she was qualified. It was true she could have the upper hand, seeing as they'd never met before. "Well, yes I could go with you.... I didn't know if you wanted someone less... attached I suppose-" She began here, understanding what he was meaning, though stopped when he gasped, her eyes focused on him. However, upon the delivery of his line, her expression changed to an unimpressed one, but so much so, it had a comical look to it. She looked up at him, a smile forming. "Really? You're going down that route?" She asked here, her smiled growing. "Well, they can just marvel at your.... so posh it's unrealness" She smiled back.

She started laughing lightly, shaking her front, before sidling up to him a little more here. "Well... I suppose that's a plan of some sorts" She said here, looking up to him. "So sure, I'll go with you, i'll be your.... assistant" She said here, giving him a knowing wink here, and nudging him. She smirked and shook her hood again. "Didn't think you were going without me right?"

(Hry, I have another bout of Writers Block so I have no idea how to reply... any suggestions?)

Jigsaw gave Spray an odd look, "what exactly do we need to do that for?"

Aeris seemed to be in deep thought for a moment before replying. "No... I've never been to a doctor," he stated, leaving out the obvious in my entire life statement. "I-I-I...I don't mind, I guess..."

Shinn - Tag: Miles

Shinn nodded. "Got it. Hey! I learned something new from you! I learned a bit of Portuguese!" The fighter quipped with a laugh as well. He then went serious. "And good idea. That way, I can come help if you need it."

Doc - Tag: Shadow, Dusty

"You do raise a good point." Doc admitted before he looked at Dusty again. "But technically, I was listed as amongst the missing when the list went out. My new alias is what I am currently under, although I can go back to my real name any time if I choose to do so."

Doc then looked back at Dusty. "I should have made that clearer. And I wasn't in my racing scheme at the time of the attack. When the FBI found me, I had been out of sight behind some debris, so I don't think he saw me." Doc did frown a bit at the conversation between Shadow and Dusty at that point, but his face had more of a confused look on it than anything. What did they mean?

"Okay...but what does that have to do with this? What do you have planned?" Doc asked, wanting to know.

((Well now that I've got the Meet the Cars book as an early birthday present, I know now all the models of everyone! Hah! XD I'll be using that as my reference from now on! XD))

Dusty - Tags: Shadow, Doc

Dusty smiled at Shadow and chuckled again, and nudged her right back. "OK! You do know I need assistance for some things!" he winked at her as well, and shook his front. "Of course not! That's why I was surprised you weren't offering! I mean... I think attachment can be a good thing! Might make you fight harder for me after all." he told her with another wink, until Doc drove in and asked what their plan was.

"Basically they're going to marvel at our so posh it's unrealness." Dusty laughed here, having a good time ribbing him. "As for what it has to do with this, I show up as a guest of Carew's with some staff, some friends... all of YOU of course!" he said, moving downwards on his pontoons towards Doc to emphasize his point. "Then I get answers, and we either take him down or... figure out our next move based on what he says." Dusty outlined. "And well still, even if he didn't notice you... you should still be careful! He might remember a Hudson Hornet being at the conference! You aren't exactly an... inconspicuous model after all, no offense!" Dusty told him.

"So yeah! That's my plan! Hey!" he looked at Shadow here, blue eyes glinting. "You think I'm pretty good at this planning stuff?" he asked, smiling eagerly, almost like a kid with a new toy.

Finn - Tags: Aeris

"You've... never been to a doctor?" Finn asked, slowing down now without meaning to. "Like... never in your life?" Finn extrapolated. "Huh... let's get you to the facility then!" he said encouragingly here, changing lanes to try and weave in and out of traffic. The Faultless GT revved his engine a little, and got into what seemed like a faster moving lane, grinning as he began to open up the throttle a little more. "Here we go! Time to make up for lost time!"

He began heading towards a relatively busier section of the city, suddenly turning left into a parking garage underneath a building. He stopped, had his wheel scanned, and a big metal door slid upwards, allowing them access to a ramp that led down. His engine echoed off the walls as he dropped down, and suddenly, they were in a secure area, with several cars looking up and greeting Finn with nods. Computer screens were scattered every so often, but this place looked like a security checkpoint if anything.

Passing by the detail, Finn headed into a corridor now, plain and dank it seemed. "Don't worry... appearances can be deceiving." he chuckled as he kept driving. "This is actually our field office in Rio! Here... I'll show you!" Finn suddenly emerged with his son into a large central room now, clearly in the building's underground, but it was positively buzzing with agents reading screens, talking to each other, and relaying messages.

"'So! Here we are! Let's get you set up with a doctor, right?" Finn sent a message via transmission to the facility's medical staff, and soon, a kind looking female pink female car was driving up to them now, giving them a warm smile.

"Finn! You never mentioned you had a relative! And your SON no less?" She spoke in a South African accent.

"Well I didn't know he was still alive! Imagine my surprise! Anyway... Aeris why don't you describe your history and symptoms to her?" Finn suggested, letting his son go and reversing away now.

Miles - Tags: Shinn

"Heh, yes you did!" he smiled here, tapping Shinn's side with a wheel. "Yes... I thought it was. Well then... let's go check it out! We'll take the big elevator obviously!" he suggested, heading over to the doors now. He hit the up button, the doors slid open, and a piston shaped elevator greeted them as Axlerod drove on in. They were lifted up now, riding up quite the ways as they headed to the top floor. As the elevator dinged and the doors slid open, Miles smiled as he turned left and drove down the hall. "Let's see... let's see..." He murmured braking as he saw his room number. "Here we are! This hotel didn't have a president's suite available, but these should do!" he told Shinn confidently.

As he opened his door he whistled, and drove into a rather palatial looking white room with black marble columns. "Ha! Oh my!" he drove out now with excitement, revving a little as he looked out the long window and the amazing view out over the ocean. "You're welcome!" he called over to Shinn's room now. He noticed there was even a mini bar in here, along with a living room and bedroom. He could only imagine what the bathrooms looked like though!

Doc - Tags: Shadow, Dusty

"None taken." Doc replied when Dusty mentioned he wasn't exactly the most inconspicuous car model. "And I will be careful."

When Dusty asked Shadow if he was good at planning with an expression like a small kid's, the Hornet sighed. Dusty might have had a good idea, but there were a few things to work out yet. Maybe with Finn's help, they could figure it out.

Shinn - Tag: Miles

Shinn whistled as he looked around his room. It was much larger than some of the places he had been to as a kid. "Wow. Never knew places like this were around." He muttered to himself. "This is almost as big as one of the ammo rooms on the Flysenhower!" Peeking out the window, the MIG mix was impressed.

Miles really knew how to live the high life!

Spray - Oskar, Jigsaw, Rush

Spray gritted his teeth and sighed, looking at Jigsaw and Oskar both, unsure of Rush's thinking at this time.

"Look. We've been attacked twice so far during this whole thing: once by unknown assailants in Propwash, next by a former Air Force unit. On top of that, my superiors have been possibly compromised or are working with our enemy who we know very little about, and they tell us to back off from Hiram Carew, who happens to be the head of a major weapons conglomerate. And Dusty and Otter have visions, and then I find this in the aftermath of the attack at Propwash Junction. Plus, it's too much of a coincidence that Hiram is the head of a weapons company, and the hardware that was stolen from St. Louis' docks some time ago? Military grade hardware. And Agent Dennison claims that he's been ascended and that Dusty will soon be as well," Spray said, dumping out the pyramid once more. "Something is not right here on many levels, and I'm worried that it somehow involves Dusty." He took in a breath and continued speaking.

"As for why we should secure the airfield, it's not that obvious at first, but if you think about it, it's like someone has declared war on us, and we need to fight back. The airfield might be secure now, but the problem is that someone there might be working for our adversaries, so we need to be ready to take and hold what places we can there if they try to rally the other workers to their side or something," Spray explained, looking back at the direction of the airfield.

"Oskar, you're smaller than me, and while I can fit into some pretty tight spaces, you can get into even more than me," Spray said. "You'll be my assistant in seeing if we can gather up any information, if that's all right with you."

The black plane turned back to face them. As he opened his mouth to speak though, a yawn escaped him and he blinked.

Shadow: Tags - Dusty, Doc, Finn

"Oh, much assistance indeed!" Shadow laughed back lightly here, looking up to him. "Who else will be able to handle a plane after all? Leave that to an agent!" She replied here, more ducking under his wing now to hide from the light of the moons. It was here, at his second mention of the joke, she chuckled again, trying to contain her laughter a bit here, though clearly wasn't working. "I-i think.... maybe we should be so posh, that they think they're so common it's Unreal.... you know, maybe compared to us they will be quite..... ghetto" She said here, trying not to laugh once again.

She smiled up to him as he turned to her again, shaking her hood lightly as she watched him. "Well, I cant say your bad. BUT this does still need clearing...." she said here, turning on her radio, and preparing to contact Finn. "Just... don't get to far ahead ok?" She grinned at him, before turning to her radio.

"Finn... come in this is Shadow. Dusty wants to meet with Carew.... A possible meeting has been scheduled, we will need your input" She radioed through here, flicking her gaze back to Dusty, not relaizing she hadn't referred to him as 'Crophopper' like she would normally have had to with Finn.

Dusty - Tags: Shadow, Doc

"Why yes! We will make them look so common it's unreal!" he laughed here, unable to help himself. "Yes compared to us, they will be quite ghetto!" Dusty loved the inside joking that was going on, though could see Doc wasn't entirely... amused. "And I can assure you... no one else can handle a plane like me!" he stated, smiling widely. He nodded as she told him not to get too far ahead, and he rolled his eyes. "I'm a racer... my goal in life is to always be ahead." He chuckled. "But sure thing! Just... do what you gotta do!" he encouraged, and moved over toward Doc as Shadow contacted Finn.

"So... you think I could be an agent?" Dusty asked Doc, more deciding to bug him than anything else, as he could tell the old race car was a bit annoyed to start things off. He was almost adapting Dipper's personality here, though definitely dialed it back for Doc's sake. Still... he was in a pretty good mood, all things considered.

Finn - Tags: Shadow, Aeris

Finn heard his radio buzz, and he frowned, reversing away a bit here. "Wait... he wants to MEET with Carew?" he inquired, surprised at this. "And it's already been scheduled?" Finn was impulsively going to say bad idea... but he hesitated here to asses it. So... Crophopper was going to set up a meeting with Carew... maybe they could use this! It was the old live bait play, which Finn was not a particular fan of but... what choice did they have? This would save them a messy infiltration where not everyone could participate... but it did expose a good chunk of the team if they were going to use this as their cover. But still... if it was just Crophopper... Finn could disguise himself and enter the facility as part of this cover.

But should he really go with it? Sighing, Finn tapped his tire thoughtfully against his body. "I... I say we can use this." Finn said. "But not in a sacrificial manner. This could be a trap, after all. I want to make sure we have a good plan before we go into this, all right?" he asked. "I'll start coming up with one overnight... ask headquarters as well... we can use this yes... but let's be careful about it too." he cautioned.

Miles - Tags: Shinn

"Heh! I bet!" He raised his antenna now to make a call, hoping to bring in his security detail to protect him... though he felt he might not need it... the Branford had to admit he was getting jumpy. If another attack occurred and he was unprotected... it might not go so well for him next time. So he called them in, and told them where he was staying. "Think I'm gonna hit the wash here! Need to get the sand out before bed!" he called over to Shinn's room. He shut the front door and drove for the bathroom now, groaning as he felt his engine protesting a little. "OK... OK..." he murmured. "I'm not gonna strain you... just relax... and please don't leak oil!" he said through clenched teeth. He felt like leaking, but he held it in for now. Best to take care of that in here after all...

Oskar - Tags: Spray, Jigsaw, Rush

Oskar raised a brow at this. Spray wanted him to be his... assistant? Just who did he think he was? Some secretary? "Er how about partners?" Oskar corrected Spray with some bitterness in his tone. "I will settle for being your partner. No need to see yourself as better than I." he pointed out disinterestedly. "Anyway I can fit into some areas yes. I have a smaller frame and wingspan but I'm not a micro car or anything like that." he pointed out. "But you still haven't answered the question... where are we going? It's night after all, and you seem rather tired." he pointed out. "I am too to be honest with you... it's late... are we really doing anything further tonight?" Oskar pressed.

Doc - Tags: Shadow, Dusty

Doc growled at Dusty's question, but didn't object to it. Instead, he faced the racer directly. "Personally, I can't say. I don't know you very well, so I can't answer that." The ex-racer replied.

Shadow: Tags- Dusty, Finn, Doc

Shadow moved away a little from the conversation that Doc and Dusty were holding, she already knew it wasn't going well by the way Doc was responding, though focused on what Finn was saying. He seemed hesitant to say the least, and she understood his doubt. "My main concern is if anything happens to him, I mean, i dont think we fully know what this Carew guy is capable of...." Shadow started, looking to Dusty from where she was. "Doc offered to go.... but Dusty pointed out that Carew COULD have seen him, but we dont know... I think we need to send agents and those who are unknown. I would like to have the permission to go with him... I'm not forgetting the mission at hand, but I want to know that he'll get through ok. We can take a couple others... Dusty had the idea to act as if those with him were assistants or followers of his.... I mean it could be convincing. Though I would imagine they would need to scan us of some kind, i mean they wouldn't let just ANYONE into there would they...." She said here, pondering. "Finn.... What if Aeris were to come to this? I mean, he wouldn't be suspected at all! He's the opposite to what you would think an agent would look like...." Shadow said gently here. "It would also be great experience. And of course, he would be safe as we'd be there." She said here, feeling as though this had to be a conversation she had face to face with him, though hadn't actually spoken to him like this since Propwash Junction.

"Finn, we need to meet up, this radioing nonsense is stupid.... We were heading out to dinner... how about you and Aeris join us?" She asked here, again, looking to Dusty. "We can perhaps go into details then?" She asked here, moving toward Dusty and Doc before it got anymore heated. "Boys, enough, let's not do this now" She said gently, tapping Dusty's pontoons and then looking to Doc. "Me and Finn are gonna work out details, so hopefully, we can get this meeting sorted out.... And then bring this guy down for good if needs be" She said here, now moving in front of Dusty, though still talking to Doc. "We can work out if you should be with us there or not.... But if not then we'll probably need you on standby. Though it will be interesting to know why your bosses dont want us to investigate this guy... Maybe thats something you can look into... Do you have any trusted allies that you can radio, speak to them and see whats going on up there?"
