some dubs just make it worth hunting through the ridiculous amounts of anime, tho. ;-;
Baccano is freaking perfect, cause japanese voice actors can't really get the same american feel as the english dub! it really depends on the setting, as well as how much the studio is willing to spend on voice actors.

* Hugs* I use to be ehh about BL and then I saw No.6.. and it went down hill to bl webcomics and other anime of the sorts x3 I find it funny because I said I would never become one of those Otakus... and then I did x3 I shall put them on my watch list! I still need to finish stevens universe, Naruto, psycho pass.. Just a lot of animes!

On the subject of subs vs dubs-
I personally prefer hearing the original Japanese seiyuu, and, in general, my ears cannot bear English dubs. BUT that's not to say all dubs are bad; for example, I was surprised how I wasn't irritated or annoyed by the Ghibli dubs I've heard.

I like both dubs and subs. It just depends on which version I hear first. I think Funimation does a really good job dubbing things, but it seems like dubs have been rushed lately. An anime airs and by the time it's up to the 5th episode, a dubbing company is already releasing their version. I worry that that will end up in a general decrease in quality.

There are definitely some aspects, like accents and puns, you can only fully understand in Japanese, but dubs are generally easier for me to watch because I can do something else while watching. So, I love 'em both. ^^

my taste is rlly varied. i enjoy guro if it's not too sexual, i love cheesy romcom harems as long as the characters are well written, yuri andbyaoi are GOOD and so are lgbt+ characters in general
anyway recommend mestuff. GOOD stuff. it's a okay if you tecommend me stuff that's already on my to watch/read list

i also like surrealism. phenomeno was a plus, it's my fav light novel, and the surrealistic elements in the dmmd vn were a+++++ plus. i love dmmd's vns but i hate the novels
kuuchuu baronko is also surrealistic and i loce it pls recc me stuff similar to kuuchuu baronko. you should watch kuuchuu baronko it is a gem

i don't eant anything made before the nineties. nothing too ecchi, please. unless, this may sound weird, these ecchi elements help the plot? that sounds eeird but in monogatari the entire story is spawned from araragi seeing hanekawa's underpants.

how do you guys feel about subbed anime in comparison to dubbed anime and vice versa?

Kind of like what scmarshtacky said, I don't have a problem with either one. When I first started watching anime, I only watched dubbed because I wasn't comfortable watching in Japanese. But as I watched more, I started to be okay with it. It depends on what I watch first. My earlier anime, like Ouran and Fullmetal, were watched in English so I can't stand to hear them in Japanese. Visa versa, Kaichou wa Maid-Sama that I watched in Japanese, I can't stand to hear it in English. It's funny though, because I like to watch shorter animes (12/30 episodes) in Japanese, but I'll watch longer ones in English.
