The medicine cat looked at Hollowkit and then at Blood, her brows furrowed. "Bluefeather, you're a medicine cat apprentice. Why did this never come up before?" The tuxedo she-cat stared nervously down at her paws, perplexed by the tricky situation. Surely another queen would have to raise Blood. It was the warrior code. Shaking these troubling thoughts out of her mind, she looked back to Rainstar, "Do you have a name in mind? As of now... I feel his current name might put others off."

"I didn't think I would see him again, so it didn't seem to matter." She purred, grooming Blood's face.

He smiled "Mom. That tickles." he laughed a little.

"Well I wouldn't turn a kit away." Rainstar gazed at the small kit at Bluefeather's side. "But Mildtail's right. You're a medicine cat, your duties come first. Since he wasn't born while you were a medicine cat I suppose we can let this slide, but he should definitely have a name other than Bloodkit."

She nodded, curling around Blood, then looking at him "What do you think?"

He looked at Bluefeather and pretended the other cats weren't there because they made him nervous "Shadowkit?"

whilst comet was passing along, she ran into a clan warrior. she grunted in disapproval. why were so many clan cats coming toward her? she supposed it would cause to much trouble to be hostile back, so she just replied calmly,"whats it to you? im a rouge so it wouldn't matter." the hunting was true, she might have accidentally hunted in their territory once or twice, but they had a plentiful of prey.

As Blood suggested a name, Mildtail narrowed her eyes and looked back at Bluefeather who didn't seem to grasp the severity of the situation. Mildtail found that more often than not did she wonder if the other really took her responsibility as a Medicine Cat seriously, "Well, he's here now. Who will care for him?" She hated having to step up like this and hated the unfairness of it all. But she understood it all the same and had been willing to sacrifice so much to be where she was now. She only hoped that Bluefeather could do the same.

"I will, of course." she was not going to let another queen raise him, and she wanted to make that obvious.

He cuddled deeper into her fur, scared. He didn't want to be raised by someone else.

The she-cat pinned her ears back in shock. She would have hoped that Bluefeather understood what it really meant, what she was sacrificing, to be a medicine cat. She sat up and frowned, looking between the kit and his mother and then to Rainstar. "We should talk about this in private," she flicked an ear. Bluefeather connot have a paw in both worlds so she would have to choose. Medicine cats can not look after a kit. Their first priority is the well being of the entire clan.

"You say that after you steal our prey as if it were yours," Slivertail countered, smelling the fresh kill on the other as if it were right out in the open. She narrowed her eyes and flicked her tail in contemt, "We have too many mouths to feed for cats like you to stroll through our territory with such a mindset!"

Rainstar frowned and glanced at Mildtail with a nod. "To my den then. Bluefeather, you stay out here." She stood up, flicking her tail and heading towards the tree in which her den was under.

I walk outside the Twogleg den and leap into what seems like a large, black box with a flat side. I then leap onto a tree and scramble to the highest branch, just above the roof of the den. Bunching my haunches, I spring forward, and land skilfully on the pebbles and tiny stones. I sit down, curl my tassel around my mitts, and watch the sun setting above the forest trees, wondering what it would look up close.
