Otterukin; aught-er-roo-kin

A newly domesticated species, Otterukins hail from an isolated island just off the coast of Antarctica! This mammalian species was clearly evolved for cold climates, complete with stout ears, a shorter muzzle, thick warm fur, and a pouch to keep the young warm. They're also known for their large, polar-bear like paws and tufted tail; the paws for walking on snow, and the tufted tail for wrapping around their bodies to protect from the strong, freezing winds. Otterukins have never been seen with more than six colors, and rarely are they seen with less than two. Having been domesticated, Otterukins are slowly becoming more adapted to cooler climates, and are now being up for public adopt!

• Do not copy this species, or any designs from this species.
• You may be banned from this species, have your Otterukins re-adopted, and not be allowed to return if you bully others, harass others, steal art, steal designs, or act rudely on more than four occasions. Matters will be dealt with case-by-case.
• For now, trading/selling adopts is not allowed! This may change in the future.
• If seeking to re-adopt or gift, note me on dA or let me know here on CS. Approval is not required, but a notice is.

Rarities:

common;
no edits at all, may include accessories (scarf, hat, earrings, silks, etc.)

uncommon;
minor edits such as hair, a bit of extra fluff, tail fluff edits, may have heterochromia, colored sclera, glow.

rare;
large bodily edits such as lost limbs, missing eyes, major fluff adds, curly fur, longer/shorter tail.

very rare;
wings, extra tail, one color 'plain' adopt, hairless, extra eyes.
