"Nice to meet you." Artemis replied with a little nod. She opened the box, and pulled the tray of cookies out. "Oreos are just chocolate wafers with creme filling. They're good, I promise. " She said with a little laugh. "You can have a couple cookies if you want." She said; turning her head towards Barry. "I know it's not much, but it's something. Oh, and don't tell a certain redhead about this okay? I never told him I bought Oreos."

Cywren couldn't help but smirk slightly at his comment about these Oreo things. She carefully took one from the box, eating it. "Meh. I've had better, whatever-your-name-is." She replied to Barry, although took a few more, simply because she was hungry. Honestly, they weren't all that good in her opinion, but it was still food.

Barry got a little smile on his face when he heard he was going to get something to eat. ”True, he’d probably lose it”, he laughed and got up from the couch really carefully. A small, sudden movement would be enough to drain the last drops of the energy that still kept him conscious. Slowly he walked to the two girls; cookies were something he could pass out for. ”You’re bluffing. I bet you’ve never had cookies before”, the man said with a grin, his blue eyes radiating tenderness. ”Or then Oreos aren’t the best choice for breakfast.”

Cywren looked over to him, surprised that he wasn't able to take the hint. "Not that big on sweets." She explained it simply, with a slight shrug. The illusionist sighed lightly to herself, before finally deciding to voice her mind. "This place is odd. You people along with it. How do you manage to do things like put your trust in others?" She asked.

Cywren’s opinion was something the scarlet speedster couldn’t understand, other than in the way that sweets weren’t really the greatest source of energy; they only gave him – according to some people – an unbearable sugar rush which made him even more annoying than usual. ”Don’t get me wrong. I don’t trust just anybody”, Barry answered to the girl’s question, ”There’s just surprisingly many I know beforehand. They give me confidence. And remind me of my friends.”

"Friendship is something I wouldn't know. The ones I once called "friends" weren't the definition. I don't have any friends." Cywren stated simply, shrugging once more. She ate another, before getting horribly sick of the taste.

(It's like trying to teach civilization to a caveman with her XD)

”You must get over it”, Barry said, getting a bit frustrated; how many times did he have to tell her the same thing, over and over again? Did she listen to reason at all? ”Because you won’t get any with that attitude. You have to move on.”

Cywren folded her arms, getting a rather unsure look to her. "It's just that...well, you try trusting someone after the only other people you trusted left you to die." She sighed. "What's your name, anyways?" She finally ended up asking directly.

Artemis munched on the cookies; glancing at each of them as they spoke. "Anyone should be able to have the opportunity to be trusted, no matter what you've experienced before..." She finally said. "Just because some people were unfair to you doesn't mean everyone will be. Not every person is a jerk, you know." She added.

They were starting to get repetitive, but then again so was Cywren. This world really was strange, but maybe in a good way. Or maybe they had been the liars, all those years ago. There was no way for the illusionist to be sure. She subconsciously tensed, starting to grip onto her arms. What do I do? What if they're right? But what if they're liars...
