so I need reccomendations on what animes to show my younger sister
She's eight and loves anime but I don't want to show her anything that's extremely ecchi or has excessive swearing
She's seen Soul Eater, Naruto, Madoka Magica, OHSHC, and Fullmetal Alchemist
so could someone help me...?
she's been yelling at me about it for awhile now..
I don't know if your sister likes magical girls animes, but that's what I would show at that age.
I'm way over the age for a typical magical girls viewer myself I guess, but I still like their stories XD
Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne - I quite like the main character in this one (though this story is also about Jeanne d'Arc and you get to know how she died, it's only a moment, but I thought I should mention that, but well if the she already watch FMA and such, than this is nothing)
Fullmoon wo Sagashite has pretty much the same genres, but it's not that typical magical girls anime. It has transformation and such, but not to fight demons, but because the main girl wants to be singer in secret (the anime has a sad story that shows now and than, but overall it's a happy and funny anime most of the time)
Pretty Cure is a pretty typical magical girls anime (and a bit less mature than the two above), though the girls fight in a more physical way, which I think makes it more interesting. Fighting of various enemies is the main thing, but the anime also shows the school live of the girls.
In Mermaid Melody the fights are a bit less interesting since the girls mainly fight by singing, but I think the characters make the show interesting.
DN Angel or Princess Tutu could also be an idea.
Around that age I also started to like Yugioh (I'm not sure how old I was when I watched it for the first time, maybe ten or so) and Detective Conan, which have there mature moments, but I would say, that they are less bloody than other shounen like FMA and Naruto.
Well and I would definitly show her the ghibli movies (except for Grave of the Fireflies and Only Yesterday).
