Orangesong guided her under the tree and curled around her.

I blinked my eyes open and was disoriented for a moment-why was the sun so high in the sky? Why was another cat pressed so close to me? Oh. Orangesong! I was filled with jubilance as I remembered my mate. I licked his forehead.

Orangesong woke. "Oh no! Its been so long! I better get back!" He hurried to camp.

My belly clenched from nerves. Would anyone guess our secret?"I'm gonna go hunting before I go back." I called after him.

OK!" He called. Orangesong ran to his den, blushing.

I smiled somewhat goofily after him, then turned my attention to hunting. The scent of mouse was heavy in the air...

Orangesong yawned and fell asleep in his own nest.

"Wait dont give up yet" she meowed to her friend" Orangesong wanted to be a warrior right? Well maybe after Ravenpaw has finished their training maybe orangesong will retire or something and you can become the aprentice med cat." Frostkit continued. "So all you have to do is become liked by ravenpaw and be very helpful and you just might.... If that doesnt work than we both can become leader and deputy. " Frostkit continued slowly trying not to upset her friend any more.

Mallowkit- she smiled weakly, nodding. '' your a great friend, frostkit'' she mewed. Looking at the med cat den, she sighed. '' right, so my goal is to be nice to ravenpaw and hope that I will be the next medicine cat apprentice but if that doesn't work...then I will have to resort to being your deputy'' the kit nodded and her smile curled into a broad grin.'' thanks for cheering me up,frostkit''
