1. Astrila
2. Mare
3. Astrila was born to a small farm in Alaska. Her mother was a cart horse, but when she was born it became clear that her father was not. She was lightly built, elegant, and with an intelligent, dished face and strange, swirling white markings. However, the farmers did not have time for such whimsy, and planned to use her as they would any other horse: For work.
Astrila had other ideas. She let the farmers dock her tail and chop of her mane in preparation for the plough, but when she saw the big machine she reared up, striking out at the well-meaning but rough-handed farmers. They tried again and again, but each time it was to the same result. She would not work in such a mundane manner. The farmers had no use for a willful horse like her, so they sold her to another farm.
She passed from owner to owner, each having no success in backing her. She was too proud, too fiery to be a horse for everyday use. Eventually, her last owner, who had meant her as a horse for his daughter, sent her for the shelter. No one else in the community (or out of it) would take her. Perhaps, he supposed glumly, she'll finally find someone she likes. And perhaps she will.
4.Why you want this horse, and what will you do with this: I love your art, River Cat, and the moment I saw this horse's design, I fell in love. I love how simple and striking it is, and she had a personality in my head the instant I saw her. Fiery and aloof. I'd love to use this horse as a character in roleplay, in stories, or just to have to do art of. Maybe she could be my inspiration. I can see that happening. I could put her to plenty of use, and she'd never go forgotten. She's exactly my style, and her face (without the white, obviously) kind of reminds me of my own bay mare.
