facing foxmask and juniperpaw. he wiped his tail past sunpaw
so the blind apprentice could follow his motion. "we should
get back to camp, it'll be dark soon." he said.

thoughts bubbled in smokepaw's brain. wait till i can tell
juniperpaw! he thought to himself. his sister knew all about
his secret crush on dreampaw, and constantly encouraged him to
talk to her. smokepaw was shy, though. he couldn't wait for the
next day to come around. the tom looked back towards dreampaw
"tomorrow's gonna be great." he purred.

Since Moonhigh was on it's way, he decided it was best to keep his head low in camp until morning. Picking up a mouse from the fresh kill pile, he settled himself beside the warriors den still worried about the amount of kittypets out along the border. Soon enough the camp would be flooded with non-warrior blood, not that it was truly a problem but further generations would think all kittypets could join clan life which wasn't true.
