Long has the era of the Fairy Tail Guild passed. Now, nigh upon one hundred years
later, new organizations have risen in its stead, each fighting for the title of
Fiore's most powerful guild. There has been some talk recently about one guild
in particular --- the Glittering Knights. Just the fact that they are headed by
Fairy Tail's own (now elderly) Cana Albarn earned them a mention in Sorcerer
Weekly; which is a feat all its own for such a small guild. But fame can be
dangerous, and now that they have had even the littlest bit of attention, other
guilds are beginning to feel threatened. One of the biggest contenders for the
most powerful guild, the Silver Coffin Society, is especially bothered. They are
willing to go to great lengths to make sure that the Glittering Knight name is
buried before it can gain enough strength to challenge their ranks. Can the
Glittering Knights withstand the Silver Coffins' might? Or will they crash and
burn before they've had a chance to make their mark on the world?

It goes without saying that each of you should review the site rules and make sure to abide by them at all times. Alrighty, now time for some of my rules, dearies.
one: This roleplay is co-owned by NightfirexD and I (aieralyn). Character sheets are required, and we both reserve the right to
accept or deny any form. I will not be providing a skeleton form, but yours needs to include your character's name, age, gender,
guild, rank (s-class or a-class), type of magic, mark location/color, and a gif of their appearance. You're free to include personality,
history, or team within the guild, but those aren't required.
two: We are allowing only one dragon slayer per person, and only seven dragon slayers total (honoring the original elements of fire,
sky, iron, poison, lightning, shadow, and light). Any other lost magic is prohibited unless pre-approved by Nightfire or I via pm.
Please pm reservations and post forms only on the discussion page. Also, please refrain from posting until you have been approved
by either Nightfire or I. If you are having trouble determining which type of magic your character is going to use, please use
this page as a reference. Also, Nightfire and I want to limit the number of s-class mages. There can only be one s-class mage
per guild per user, meaning that at any point in time, you may have a maximum of one glittering knight s-class and one silver
coffin s-class. Currently,the s-class mage spots are closed due to an excessive amount of them already.
three: There will be no cannon characters allowed, other than Cana Alberona. As this roleplay takes place around 70-80 years
after the original Fairy Tail, she would be the only original member left alive. Cana will be played by Nightfire. You're free,
however, to reference the original characters by making a descendant of said characters. For example, you could have a
grandson of Elfman or a descendant of Jellal.
four: This is a semi-literate to literate roleplay, therefore we expect at least two paragraphs or twelve well-written lines, even with
writers block. Proper grammar at all times is a must. Also, please make sure to write your posts in third person and past tense,
although, first person and present tense is fine in your character sheets.
five: Please make it an effort to keep genders even. There cannot be more than two of one gender over the other. For example, if
we have four males, there can be no more than six females. You are permitted to create as many characters as you are able to
manage. Please know your limits.
six: Please try to keep the roleplay board clean and neat by disabling your signatures. Feel free to show them on the discussion page.

In Glittering Knight: The main guild hall is starting to become pretty crowded as the morning slides closer towards midday, with everyone still greeting each other, and the late-wakers finally straggling their way out of bed. Setsuna picked a fight with Akira, only to be ignored. But soon enough, Amyas jumped in to accept her challenge instead. Akira and Takashi are talking at the job board, trying to decide which one to take. Vain is watching over her fellow guild mates as always, but today, Mari was innocent enough to ask Vain for her terrible coffee. After she drank one sip, she had to pretend that she liked it, for Vain's sake. Trinity and Xavier just straggled in to eat some breakfast to start the day, and Yuyake just showed up as well. As far as roleplaying goes, I think the current open characters are Trinity, Xavier, and Yuyake.
In Silver Coffin: The guild hall here is also beginning to fill. Aria came in first as the faithful leader, while Etsuko, Sora, and Hanaru joined shortly afterward. Haru came in, addressing Aria and staring at Etsuko, so some interaction will happen there shortly. Meanwhile, Alexandra entered with far too much energy, making a rather loud entrance and sitting down with a large platter of food. Hanaru didn't appreciate the sudden increase in noise, so she opted to travel around the city a little bit on her own. She and Seren ended up at the same coffee shop. As for open characters, I believe Sora, Seren, and Alexandra are open for some interaction.

Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep. The annoying reminder that she did, in fact, have to eventually wake up from her far-too-comfortable slumber embodied itself in a light blue alarm clock conveniently placed atop her dresser on the opposite side of her room. Although she had stationed it there on purpose, every morning she cursed and grumbled as if the placement of said object was nothing more than a horrible mistake. Groaning both inwardly and out, the girl attempted to untangle herself from messy sheets, only to hit the floor hard, even more entwined than before. It wasn't fair, she thought. Why did morning have to come so early every day? No matter how illogical the idea was, irritation made all the sense to Akira in her lethargic state of mind. Pushing off the floor with her palms pressed to the ground, she stumbled her way over and slapped her hand firmly against the cheap plastic, finally ending its reign of annoyance.
As if she could simply wipe the sleep from her eyes, she dug her knuckles at the corners of their sockets until the blurriness faded from her vision. She glanced over to the smaller bed right next to hers, and Raiden was still sound asleep with his mouth open, drool dripping from the corner the whole time. She thought better than waking him prematurely and instead affectionately pulled the covers more snug around his body. Not bothering to be quiet (for if he was easily woken, he would already be up), she made her way into the bathroom to prepare for the day. She washed her face, brushed her hair, and slipped on her signature look of a grey and yellow t-shirt and ripped skinny jeans before finally exiting the room.
Fortunately, the glittering knight girls' dormitories weren't far from the guild hall, otherwise the walk would only build on Akira's typical, early-morning nerves. It wasn't long before she arrived at the guild hall, and, much to her satisfaction, it wasn't too crowded yet. As much as she hated waking up in the mornings, the key was to arrive to the guild hall first thing so that she could get a good look at all of the day's new requests before all the good ones were gone. She passed up all of her fellow guild mates without even a glance in their direction, making a beeline for the request board. With concentration etching itself into her eyebrows, she peered at the newly placed sheets of paper in interest.

Takashi laid in bed, arms stretched above his head, and his legs stretched down to the very ends of his mattress. Sleep had evaded him last night; a torturous onslaught of nightmares forcing the poor guy to stay awake. Nightmares filled with thievery, bloodshed, failure, and - more importantly - the guild losing it's funds and abilities to pay for food. That was probably the worst part of it all. No food meant; well, no food. Takashi couldn't imagine going for less than two hours without eating something. The very thought was enough to make Takashi want to cry; but a nightmare? Last night he thought he was going to be sick.
But the simple thought of food was enough to make his stomach snarl. Get up you lazy bum I need to be fed! At least, that's what it would be screaming at him if a stomach could literally yell. Thankfully, they could only growl.
Takashi grumbled to himself as he rolled out of bed and went to take a quick shower; slipping on his usual outfit of jeans and a simple black and-some-random-other-color plaid shirt, the sleeves rolled up to his elbows. He tied his black converse, ran a brush through his blue hair and headed out the door towards the main hall of the guild.
But before he made it to the hall, he stopped by a vender selling containers of sushi rolls. Not being able to stand the wait, of course, he bought himself -- not one -- but two of them. Which he proceeded to eat on his way into the guild. Sushi is so good for breakfast, ugh. Takashi waved at a couple of his friends as he passed them by; some of them rolling their eyes or shaking their heads as they saw him stuffing his face with food.
He shrugged, "Whaa-?" Unable to get the "t" out due to the fact his mouth was full.
Takashi swallowed, glancing over his shoulder and spotting Akira marching her way over towards the request board. He blinked then made his way towards her. "Well good morning to you." He said, tossing the empty sushi container into a nearby trashcan and popping open the other one; which had another six rolls inside. "Already itching to get on the field, I see?" He asked with a tilt of his head, blue bangs falling across his forehead and to the right side of his face. "I'm assuming that meant you slept well? Cause I sure as heck didn't." He grimaced, making a pouty face and puffing his cheeks out. "Can you image how awful it'd be if the guild ran out of money and we couldn't get anymore food? Man..." The dark circles under his eyes were obvious, but one would never guess that such an usually cheerful and hungry person was tired. "It'd be a shame, alright...a big shame.."

Setsuna wasn't very much of a fancy or rich person - she slept in the house that her grandfather had built in the middle of the woods, and she spent her money on mainly food, and sometimes clothes when her old ones either got too small or she wore them out. As the sun shine through the hole in her roof and down onto her face, the blonde groaned, rubbing her eyes as she slowly sat up, a yawn escaping her semi-fanged lips. After the innitial 'getting up' was done, she yawned again and slipped out of bed, going through her usual morning routine. She brushed her hair into the pigtails she almost always wore (it was rare to see her hair down. She felt it would only hinder her in a fight, and it's an amazement to everyone that she hasn't chopped it all off yet), before lighting a match that was on the mantle and eating it. That would stave her off at least until she got to the guild, but now she had a bit more energy than she originally did to start with. Throwing off her pajamas and changing into her everyday clothes, she rushed out and walked casually towards the guild, eyes closed as she tilted up her face to the sunshine, and hands behind her head as she yawned for probably the last time this morning, as by now she was fully awake. It didn't take too long to reach the Glittering Knight Guild, and when she did, she kicked open the door with a grin her face. "GOODMORNING!!" she shouted, not caring who she ticked off. At this point in time, fight would be a great warm-up to the day.

Vain was already up, and had been for an hour or so. She had always been an early riser, when she was a child, she liked to go outside and watch the sunrise. She still did, in fact, though now she restricted herself to standing on the second floor balcony of the guild hall, watching the first rays of dawn filter in through the windows. It also gave her the opportunity to greet each person as they entered the guild hall, check up on how they were doing, et cetera. A mug of what was once probably coffee, but was now more caffeine than anything else, sat on the railing beside her. Vain always made her coffee unbearably strong, she liked to say that it was only ready if she could throw a knife in the pot and have it stand up straight. No one else but her could stand it, which was usually why nobody wanted her to make the coffee, but she did anyway. Perks of being an early bird.
Vain was also already dressed, in her usual black leather jacket with gold and red patterns that matched her hair around the bottom, accompanied by a pale yellow T-shirt, cargo pants with a black camouflage pattern, and black cloth shoes. A little casual, especially for a wizard of her status, but she didn't really go for fancy clothes or armor like her grandmother. A thin leather band kept her hair out of her eyes, and a larger one wrapped around her body, a sheath for whichever sword she hapened to have out at the time. She could store all her swords in a pocket dimension with her Requip magic, of course, but she always liked to have at least one out. It was a comfort thing. Today, the sword in the sheath was Eisenmeteor, quite possibly the most basic of all her swords. It looked it two, nothing more than a massive buster sword, as tall as Vain and about half as wide, with a plain crossguard and a hilt wrapped in red cloth. There was some black and gold detailing around where the rain guard would normally be, but other than that it was unadorned. Not the most elegant of all her swords, but with the most utility by far. It wasn't particularly strong, nor was it particularly weak. A good all-around sword, it was big, it was sharp, it was heavy, and, most importantly, it was immune to magic, meaning that it could be used for defense just as well as offense.
From her place on the balcony, Vain watched as Takashi and Akira stumbled in, bleary-eyed, while Setsuna burst in with energy to spare. Did that girl ever get tired?Smiling softly to herself and shaking her head in a bemused sort of way, Vain descended to the main level, coffeepot in hand. It was her custom to offer some to her guildmates, even though they rarely accepted. Caffeine was probably the last thing Setsuna needed, but the other two looked like they could use some. "Coffee, anyone?" She asked, walking to the nearest empty table and setting the pot and her own mug down on it.
Aria awoke at dawn, as she had since she'd become the leader of Silver Coffin. It was her duty, she felt, to be the first of her guild to rise, as it gave her a chance to both catch her subordinates off-guard, making them a little easier to coerce, and get a chance to look at the job board. Not all jobs were sent to all guilds, of course, but she always liked to watch out for the few that were, as there was always a chance that she could deprive Glittering knight of income. Which, of course, all factored into her plan to eliminate the guild, and elevate her own to the status of number one.
Aria was dressed, as per usual for her, in a red checked shirt, tied so that her midriff was bare, blue jeans that flared out at the bottom, accented by a brown leather belt with a buckle depicting two crossed pistols. On this belt, along with several loops for spare ammo, hung Aria's twin revolvers, while her rifle was slung over one shoulder, held in place by another leather strap. She also wore brown leather cowboy boots, and a brown tasseled poncho very reminiscent of her grandfather's. She may not have been on speaking terms with her mother, but she still had fond memories of her grandparents, taking her out as a little girl to test her marksmanship skills. They had always been so proud of her, praising her even when she missed. Deep down, she knew they would probably take the same attitude as her mother towards what she was doing, but she refused to think about that. Eyes on the prize, and you'll never see who you have to step on to get there, that was her motto. Once she was done looking at the job postings, Aria made her way to the podium at one end of the main hall, waiting for her guild to wake up.
