Hey, My name is Kuro. Well... That's what I tell people. I'd tell you more, but you never know if someone will get in here and read this. Getting to the point, Our teacher decided that all of us had to start writing in a journal as a homework assignment for the whole year. I guess we're supposed to write down the days events and how we felt about it? It's such a weird thought.

Ok, so first thing first my family.

Image
Pet's name: Garon
This is my Uncle, Garon. My parents are dead, so he and my aunt are my guardians. He is so quiet as he moves. It really is facinating. It must be from his training....Never mind.

Image
Pet's name: Felicita
This is my aunt, Felicita. She must know the name and history of every single weapon out there.

That's it for family. My picture is at the top. Don't ask me about my scar. I don't talk about it. If I ever figure out how to 100% guard you from other people, I might tell you. But for now, let's move onto the people at school. I go to Garret's private school class B.

Image
Pet's name: Principal George Hanson
This is the principal, George Hanson. He's rather jolly and could loose a few pounds, but he has always been kind to the students.

Image
Pet's name: Mr. Trevor
My teacher, Mr. Trevor. He is....weird.

Image
Pet's name: Summer
This is the class president, Summer Okahali. She was born in Hawaii and was a pro surfer, but after an accident injuring her leg, she moved to the states.

Image
Pet's name: Nova
Nova Unuhara. He's the one who hangs out with me the most. I'd call him my friend, but he doesn't know the real me.

Image
Pet's name: Crystal
Crystal Unuhara is Nova's sister. She's my deskmate and is rather smart. She is my tutor for American history.

Image
Pet's name: Luke
This is Luke. I'm not sure what his last name is, I think it starts with an S... Smite, Smith, Smoole? He and Nova are the art nerds.

Ok, That's it for now. There are others, but I haven't really talked to them and I don't have pictures. Yesterday was my first day. I'm sure we'll learn about them later.

Sincerely,
~Kuros Kuro Kale

We were told in class to write in our journals what our first day of school was like. So, here it goes....

Image
Pet's name: Felicita

Felicita served eggs and toast for breakfast.

Kuro stifled a sigh and ate the food without complaint.

"You will have to eat quickly, if you want to make it to school on time." Felicity said, handing him a map. The map was to the school and had Garon's hand writing.

Kuro groaned. He hated school in the United States, full of lazy kids who only cared about themselves and causing trouble. Even in the private schools that he enrolled in, which were very strict, some of the kids still found ways to make his life miserable. He could easily have them all on the floor unconscious.
He quickly finished his breakfast and, taking the map, headed out the door. Not long after he left the house, Kuro was lost. He turned a corner and abruptly halted. It was a dead end. “This map is useless.” He grumbled.

He spun around at the sound of someone landing behind him. The male had bright blue dyed hair that almost matched his sky blue eyes. Under one arm, he carried a skateboard.

“Yo!” He greeted, walking up to Kuro. “Are you lost?”

“I'm fine.” Kuro said, pushing past him.

“Really? Because it looks to me like you're looking for Garret's.” He replied. “And you are heading in the opposite direction.”

Kuro stopped and let out a sigh. “And I suppose you know the way.”

“Of course I do.” He said,. “Follow me.” He said, getting on his skateboard and pushing away.

Kuro rolled his eyes and followed.

A lot sooner than Kuro expected, they arrived at the gates of the school. It had a large almost perfect front lawn with a flagpole on one side and a fountain on the other. Down the middle was a cobblestone road leading to the front steps of the building.

“By the way, my name is Nova Unahara. I'm in class B.” Nova said, heading for the front steps.

Kuro grunted. “Nice to meet you.”

They were met inside by Principal George Hanson. The jolly welcome Kuro received from him, reminded him of who the Americans call Santa Claus. He just needed the beard.

He led them down the hall. “I thought you might get lost. I presume that’s why you're late?”

Kuro nodded reluctantly. “Yes, sir.”

“And you, Nova. You know how hard it is to find this school, so you decided to help him out. How kind of you. Though, if I didn't know better, I might have thought that you were thinking of skipping school.” He said, his blue eyes twinkling.

Nova looked away. “Of course not, sir.”

The principal poked his head inside classroom B. “Mr. Trevor, I got the late arrivals for you. Nova brought the transfer student.”

“Ah, yes.” said Mr. Trevor, setting down a piece of chalk. “Kuro Kale, was it?” Mr. Trevor's long, skinny limbs made him appear taller, while his short black hair and goatee added to his long face.

Kuro nodded. “That's right.”

“Well, come on in. You can take a seat beside Crystal over there.”

She greeted Kuro kindly, but Mr. Trevor was already speaking again, and it was clear that was where her focus was.

I have to go unpack some more. We just moved here, and there are a bunch of boxes. I'll finish next time. See you later.
~Kuro

Does it look ok like this? Or should I do the different colors? Or is there something else you would like for me to change?

Alright I'm back. Packing wasn't too much fun this time. My room is almost perfectly square, so it doesn't pose much of a challenge. *Sigh* Oh well, hopefully next time, I'll get a more interesting room. Anyway, where was I? Oh yeah:

Throughout class, Nova kept doodling in his notebook. It was this, and the way he and his deskmate, Luke, answered questions, that Kuro was able to learn that they were the art nerds. Next to Summer, was a female named May. It took her name being called three times before she finally turned away from watching the boys play football.

The last class before lunch was American history. This time it was Kuro's turn to get called on. When he was unable to answer, it was Crystal who raised her paw. He breathed a sigh of relief when the sound of the bell signaled the end of history and the start of lunch break. He quickly packed his books away, eager to stretch his legs.

“You're not much of a historian, are you?” Crystal asked, packing away her own books.

“How could you tell?”

“A little birdie told me.”

Kuro smirked. “I'm not a fan.” He admitted.

“You know, history is my best subject. If you need a tutor..” Crystal paused. “No, scratch that. If you want a tutor, I'd be willing to help.” She smirked.

“I'll try not to take offense to that.” Kuro replied.

“You should.”

Kuro grinned. “Thanks for the offer.”

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

During lunch, Kuro found himself next to Nova and Luke, who seemed to enjoy arguing over who was the best artist of the nineteenth century. Kuro yawned as he picked at his potatoes.

Nova nudged him. “You awake?”

“No.” He replied. “My neighbor insists on getting up at five o'clock in the morning and loudly playing with his cat.” He said, remembering how the last two mornings he had been woken up my his neighbor's whistle and meowing cat.

Luke glanced at Nova. “Is that so? Where do you live?”

Kuro hesitated, then told them. Luke and Nova both suddenly burst out laughing.

Kuro frowned. “I don't understand.”

Nova took a deep breath to calm himself. “Let me show you.” He pulled on his hood and, turning away said, “Good girl, Smoky.”

Kuro's eyes widened. “You're my neighbor?”

Nova nodded, still chuckling. “Smoky and I compete in agility trials. Early in the morning, before school, is usually the only time we can practice. I'll try to be quieter in the future.”

Luke draped his arm over Nova's shoulder. “Nova, here, is like the animal whisperer. Excluding dogs of course.”

“Ignore him.” Nova said, pushing Luke back into his own chair.

Just then, Crystal came up. “Hey guys. Whats going on?”

“Kuro just found out that you guys are neighbors.” Luke said.

Kuro blinked in surprise. He looked from Nova to Crystal and back again.

“I know we don't look it much, but Crystal and I are actually brother and sister.” Nova explained.

“It's not that you don't look alike. Your personalities are completely different. Crystal is a hard worker and is good in school. Nova is, well, the opposite.” Kuro said.

“Hey!” Nova replied.

Well, that's all the important stuff. I need to get to bed. School in the morning and I'm not sure if Nova will keep his promise. We shall see.
