Miley turned to see what Reggie was looking at. The dogcatcher was right there and it was coming towards them! Miley started whimpering. It was too quiet for the dogcatcher to hear, but Marcus did. Marcus nodded to Reggie. Even though he wanted to at least scare the dogcatcher away, he knew that there was the risk of Miley getting caught while he was distracted. He started running when they did, and he staryed close to Miley as he ran. A low growl, though unheard to anyone, rumbled in his chest.

Kaapo licked Kias cheek in happiness, and in friend love. "Good thing your alive!" He sighed. He patted over to the caves entrance and sat down.

As he ran down the ally he turned his head to look over his shoulder to make sure both Miley and Marcus were following. He wasn't quite sure at first where they should go, but then as he past another ally, it came to him. He knew of a small abandoned house closer to the outside of town. "I know where to go. It's an old house, closer to the outside of town." he barked back to the siblings, though not to loud as he didn't want to alert the dog catcher of their location. The other houses around it were old and some were even falling down, but the one he occasionally stayed in was in fairly good shape. He stopped at the end of the ally and looked at the pair. "If we go, we'll be safer than hiding in any ally but, it's farther away and there is risk of us getting caught on the way." he spoke quietly as he began panting.

Miley had always had stamina for long distance running, but she knew that her brother didn't. He usually had quick burst of spped, then slowed quickly. She looked over her shoulder and she smiled encouragingly to him. At the smile, he started to run a little faster, though she could tell that he couldn't for much longer. She stopped when Reggie did, and she nodded along. It seemed like a good thing to go to the building, since it seemed stable and safe, but it was a ways away. Miley glanced at Marcus, frowning slightly. He was trying to hid the fact that he was tired, but she could always tell the smallest detail in his behavior. She looked at Reggie and she said, "I think that going there is worth the risk. It seems safe and it will be out of the way of all of most humans." She looked at Marcus to see what he had to say.

Marcus was determined to keep running, even though he was very tired. He had kept watch last night, so he had barely gotten any sleep. The lack of food and sleep had drained him already, and running wasn't helping it either. He was a very large dog, even though it was mostly muscle, but it weighed him down. Marcus had a burst of energy when Miley smiled at him. He couldn't let his sister down and stop running. He was grateful for the break, but he really didn't want to go to the house. All that it meant for him was more running, and he already felt like he couldn't go any further. When Miley said that she wanted to go there, he had to agree with her. He nodded his vote, not trusting himself to talk just yet.

He looked from Miley to Marcus as he stopped beside them. He nodded to Marcus as he nodded his agreement then looked to Miley. "Ok, just let me know if either of you need to stop for a bit and rest though." he said and looked back to Marcus. The male dog seemed to be a lot more tired than Miley, though he didn't question him. He shook out his short red coat before stepping out onto the sidewalk ahead of them. "We're going to have to cross this road first. This is the only busy one we have to cross though, the other ones we cross go through neighborhoods so there aren't as many cars. And the cars that do go through, are usually going slow so they are easy to spot." he told them. He sighed and looked both ways cautiously before looking back at Marcus and Miley. "Ready?" He asked them.
