At first glance, this school might seem normal, but that's one thing it's far from. Not just any kid can go here, only the special ones. The chosen kids who were born with powers, or maybe they gained them somewhere in their life. Here they can learn to control their powers, learn about other's powers, and attend normal academics. They're are other schools like this, but this one's the biggest in the country, teaching grades 6 to 16. Most the students live here, in one of the many dorms, which they share with one other person. Everything you could possible need is supplied by the school. Students may leave the school for short periods of time, but must come back before 48 hours unless they are over 18 or have parent's consent. There is many things around, including a large forest, several small lakes, mountains, camping grounds, and a town about a mile away.
Note: In this rp it is summer before the first year it opens, so nobody is in class yet, they are just moving into the dorms and such. Later the classes will begin.

Power: Regeneration, he can heal himself and those around him, but if it's anything more then a small cut or bruise it tires him out. It's it's anything like a broken bone, he'll most likely pass out.
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Personality: Jay is a confident and independent person, who is logical and very intelligent. Some people think he is a little cruel and unemotional, just because he doesn't babble on about his feelings all the time as some people do. Outbursts of either anger or joy are both very rare for him, since he tries to keep himself under control at all times. He tends to deflect any personal questions and will hardly tell you more then just his name.
He is an introverted person, and dislikes crowds and strangers. Some people may think that he is shy, but really, he simply find parties and crowds to be unpleasant. He prefers to keep things calm and logical, and he doesn't like noise and chaos.
The thoughts and opinions of other people don't matter very much to him. If someone didn't like him, then he wouldn't lose any sleep over it. Those who he does grow to care about, he is very protective over.

Power: She can shift from a harpy eagle to human any time she would like, though it makes her sore. She can also change into any variation between a human ns her bird. For example, she could be completely human with wings and a beak. However, she can never get rid of her wings, they'll always be with her.
Sexuality: Bisexual, with no gender preference.
Personality: Cyris is a rather odd being. She plays out her life simply according to what interests her. Living as long as she has, she has since gave up trying to look good in others eyes or befriend them. She does what she wants and nothing more. Although she is not exactly cruel, she doesn't take other people's emotions into consideration and tends to act on impulse. She doesn't think about the outcomes that could befall and doesn't seem to have a real value of her life. If she died, then so be it. She lives alone, mostly in her eagle from as it is very difficult to conceal her large wings. She disregards any established rules, preferring to live her life according to her own. However she is very loyal to whomever she has made an alliance with.

Personality: As far as centaurs go, Roan is a pretty mild tempered creature. He doesn't harbor the same resentment towards humans that most of his species does, and is a little bit more understanding if a student is uncomfortable around him at first. He knows most humans fear what they don't understand.

Roan is an eager teacher, this being his first year on the job. As a fair warning, he may overestimate the types of creatures his students are able to handle. He has a very deep understanding of monsters and mythical beasts.

Other: He used to live in the forest near the school grounds, but has since left, as he isn't on the best of terms with his centaur colony. He has a room in the school, but can often be found in his small cottage near the school's gardens and creature pens.

Appearance: Roan is a full blooded centaur. He has long, dark brown hair and tan skin. His eyes are chocolate brown. His horse hindquarters are a chocolate roan, his tail a dark brown like his hair. He has several tattoo markings around his wrists, biceps, and ankles. He stands at 8 feet tall even and has a muscular build.

History: Roan was born into the colony that resides in the forests near the school, and has lived with them most of his life. However, as a teenager, he began to take interest in human affairs, something his fellow centaurs did not appreciate.

When he took the teacher job at the school, that was the last straw with his colony. They saw Roan as a traitor and a servant to the humans, who have, for many years, considered them to be lesser beings. Roan stood by what he loved, teaching young and curious minds, but has lost much for it. He is now banished from the colony, and if he wants to venture into the forest, he is considered a trespasser by them.
