Name: qon’Het’wa [Klingon "squirrel"]
Gender: Stallion
Height: 1 ½ inch
Type: Standard
Color: Magical
Special Features: Squirrel tail
Personality: qon’Het’wa is brave and strong, he had to be to survive as a baby. He's also courageous and can sometimes be a bit of a risk taker. He's not showing off, he just wants to prove that he can keep up with his squirrel family. He never had the hands and feet of a squirrel but he learned how to be just as agile and nimble among the leaves and branches. The cracks in the bark were nothing to his delicate tiny hooves, so he could climb like a squirrel within a few weeks. And being so small and light, he could climb to the very tops of the trees and use his front legs to knock down the big acorns and nuts to the rest of the squirrels waiting below. He never felt different, not was he treated different.
Background: qon’Het’wa never knew he was a Tiny Horse for the first part of his life. He had been orphaned in a winter storm and Father!squirrel had found him, just a tiny little thing with his fluffy tail wrapped around him, while out foraging for nuts. He had carried the little furry bundle home to his nest in the hole in the tree and shown the baby to Mother!squirrel. She had taken to the odd-looking little baby immediately and placed him in amongst her other babies in the warm nest of leaves. By the time they managed to peel away the large fluffy tail and discovered qon’Het’wa wasn't, in fact a squirrel, it was already too late, he'd become part of the family. So they nurtured him, kept him warm, but the first problem arose when they tried to feed him...he didn't have squirrel hands to hold the nuts, not did he have the right teeth? It took a bit of trial and error but they discovered that qon’Het’wa loved the soft flower petals and leaves they found in the garden below their tree. They knew he was a Tiny Horse, so when he was old enough to learn, they taught him squirrel!speak, but they also taught him Tiny Horse language, so that when he was old enough to learn who he was, he would be able to talk to his own kind.
