Why isn't it back yet, or at least squealing? She thinks, standing slowly and walking several paces towards the forest though her paws wouldn't carry her closer to the scent markers. It was like a fine lines between peaceful bystander and a big red target in the eyes of hungry forest cats. At least the cursed dog stopped barking at last, allowing her to think on it a little more.

Lightningstar looked at Weavertail. "We will have to come back later to hunt..." he meowed, picking up the plump mouse in his jaws. "Follow me." Lightningstar managed to order with the prey in his mouth. He padded back towards camp, glancing back to make sure Sunshine and the others were following.

Though these was plenty of mixed bloods in the clan, he didn't like to think they'd so easily bring back a kittypet without question. It was like stealing a kit from the nest and telling it life out here was easy breeze, no pain and all gain. His green eyes settled on his paws, unsure if this was a good idea in the end.

The pile was looking sad now, hardly a pile but rather a few pieces of prey scattered in a compact area. Sighing, the tom stood and decided to head out to at least feed himself without taking from the clan too much. His paws lead him to the entrance, pausing carefully with hopes no foxes were roaming this time of day.
