The scent of mouse lingered in the air. Lightningstar flicked his tail, motioning for the rest of the patrol to be silent. He dropped down into the correct hunters crouch and crept up to the mouse. It was nibbling on a small seed. Making sure he was facing downwind and not upwind, he pounced and landed on the prey.

●personality● despite his 'tough' appearance, the tom is a sweetheart.
he is what you would call a gentle giant. he is a good warrior and very
protective of his clan, don't get me wrong. but, all in all, panther is
a kind guy and doesn't like to see others hurt.
●history● pantherstrike was born as a kittypet. he was named
midnight (typical black cat name xD) and he escaped his home as a
kitten. if it weren't for cloudclan, he would be dead, most likely,
but he was found by a kind clan she-cat and taken in. (she passed
away)

He lowered his head and rolled on his back as slowly as he could trying not to make a sound.

He killed the delicious looking mouse with a swift bite to the neck. Triumphantly, Lightningstar went back to the patrol with th clean catch in his jaws. He held his tail high in the air as he buried the mouse in the dirt. Lightningstar scented the air, searching for more prey. He smelt loner and growled softly, trying to make the loner come out.

Sunshine flatten his ears, 'why is the cat growling' the kittypet asked himself, 'have they found me? ' he grinned. He had never spoke to a forest cat before and it would be awesome to tell Sebastian! But.. What if he doesn't make it back?

It was short lived, the flash of pale, sandy fur dash by and vanish into the thick undergrowth. "Good as dead, hm..? Didn't think to stop and smell the roses?" That was the problem with kittypets and rouges, they didn't bother to pick up on the clan scent that coated the trees hardly two fox lengths away. When the wind was in her favor, she could smell them from the fence line easy. With the wren eaten down to the bones, her body plops back to the ground, laying down and waiting to hear howling.

Falling quiet, his lips parted letting the scent of the forest fill his nose and brush the palate of his mouth. Bird was easily picked up, often pecking for worms in the morning while the grass was still wet with dew. Making sure not to bother Lightningstar's catch, he heads a few paw steps away from the leader and waits.

Walking half mindedly around camp, he takes note of the deputy eyeing the fresh kill pile. He was very thankful a patrol had gone out, there was hardly enough to feed the medicine cats. Cherryblossom was also around, but he didn't have the natural charm to just approach she-cats to bring up conversation. Hopefully the patrol would return and another one could be sent out with the remaining cats.

"Catmint... Yarrow... Burdock... Tansy... Poppy seeds are a bit low but when are they abundant?" Keeping a mental list, they needed a bit more borage and chickweed just in the mint wasn't plentiful this season. Stepping outside the den fully, she decides to wait to eat since the warriors needed their strength and settles herself in the dim sunlight.

Lightningstar narrowed his eyes. Why was the loner not showing themselves? "Come on, I know you are there. Step out." he hissed, unsheating his dangerous claws and flexing them in the air. If the cat did not step out soon, he was going to attack. Unless of course if it was a kit.

Sunshine was frighten by the tom's tone and the first thing he did was hiss as he stood up. Though he didn't get out if the bushes but the sticks and thorns where hurting him and he padded out flicking his tail with his ears flat on his head.

He'd been ready, his muscles tensing and his tail lashing with hopes the cat would run. To his disappointment, it was only a kit who seemed to look very lost by his expression. Not a large, bear looking tom with claws like dog fangs but a kit who looked as innocent as a bunny even trying to be threatening. "Cute..." He mutters, waiting for Lightningstar's orders.
