Rhett O'Malley/ At his cabin / Acting a fool
The wind blew outside as the late morning sun tried to warm up the snowy landscape. Steam billowed out of the small bathroom window of Rhett's cabin, the sound of shower running inside. Boris laid lazily on the cabin's porch, head rested on his paws and snow peppering his fur. His breaths were heavy and relaxed, little steam clouds puffing out at each one.
The shower inside cut off, and moment later, the front door burst open. Rhett ran outside, wearing a pair of black basketball shorts and not much else. He howled wildly, laughing as he was hit by an icy blast. The sudden change in temperature cause his adrenaline to spike, as if he were on a giant roller coaster.
Of course, dogs didn't understand this strange human source of amusement. Boris leaped to his feet, woofing as the sudden commotion. He bounded down the steps, following after Rhett as the human jumped barefoot into the snow.
He immediately slipped and fell, Boris taking to opportunity to climb on his chest and start licking his face. Rhett began to shout, the cold snow starting to make his skin burn.
"Get off him, you idiot," Nikolai huffed as he lumbered over. Boris raised his head and growled at his half brother. Rhett took the opportunity to shove him off and stand up to brush the snow off.
"I was just seeing if he was okay. He fell down, bro. Not cool." Boris shook his fur out and stood up straighter as Nikolai approached.
"He was telling you to get off. What, are you deaf and stupid?" Nikolai continued to antagonize Boris, knowing good and well that it would turn into a fight. Sure enough, Boris let out a snarl and lunged at him.
The scrap was short lived. Rhett quickly intervened. "Hey! Hey! Knock it off! Jeez." Once the two dogs stopped, glaring at each other as they walked away, Rhett turned and headed back inside to get dressed in real clothes. Boris trailed after him, walking back up to the porch to lay back down.
