hello there! i'm .the slayer, it's nice to meet you. before
i begin this little form, i'd like to say how much i absolutely
adore the dollhouse dolls, and all you artists and mods too.

okay, so this doll was one of the few actually found by
a human! she was on her way to the dollhouse when the little
girl picked her up gently and took her home. she was then
named 'melodious notes' by the eight - year - old. she always
introduces herself as melody; her friends get the privileged
of calling her mels. as you have probably guessed, she is female.

melody is actually quite happy she was found when was.
miles away from her destination and completely lost, she was
also alone. if the little girl [sallyanne] had not picked her up she
would never have met her shadow. his name is poddily, and he's
male. he was sallyanne's ipod, but quickly got discarded. she
was too young to be interested in music, save for the theme tunes
for the cartoons she obsessively watched at that age. but she
was quite a good owner; didn't let anyone near her toys; talked to
them; sang to them and created personas for them. most of her
toys were quite satisfied with that level of care and attention...
but not melody. oh no.

actually,it was the kid's shows and cartoons that blasted
through the t.v. twenty-four/seven that led to the discovery
of her theme- song. the three-minute long song 'play my music''
suits her very well, due to her obsession with music. it appears
in the children's film 'camp rock'. it is very upbeat and sung
by the jonas brothers. music is not only important to her
because of her shadow and the constant background noise of
the t.v. - it also appears in her main hobby. mels is a devoted
gamer, enjoying watching sallyanne's older brother, jackson,
playing them on the t.v. in the sitting room. she enjoyed many
a day watching the colorful graphics on the screen.

but who is melody? i have briefly hinted at her personality, but i will now go into detail.
energetic ● melody has tons of energy! the games she play are quite action-packed, and melody often ends up on her feet, jumping and bouncing, swerving left and right, even ducking at appropriate times. they don't help her in-game persona; instead, it is just a way of using up her energy and excitement.
focused ● although the in-game music can cause distraction, mels is good at focusing on the game. or, if she is reading a comic book or listening to music, she will not lose concentration when someone walks into the room or tries to communicate with her. if this happens, she will most likely block them out.
smart ● the games melody play, the books she read and the programs she now watch all increase her already large brain. the games in particular are helpful, as they are often quite hard and complex.

melody's room in the dollhouse is quite large. its main features include a massive flat screen t.v. with just about every console underneath it. a large decorative crate sits in one corner filled with records and cds, doubling as a coffee table. shelves of games line one wall. along another are several posters - some from games, others of musicians, bands and singers. a relatively small bookshelf is overflowing with comic books beside a king-sized bed. yep, she really doesn't have any other hobbies. appearance doesn't really matter to melody, so there is 'stuff' all over the floor.

the great escape
this is the story of how mels made her way to the dollhouse and
escaped her over-possessive owner. melody had not long been
connected with poddily when they made the joint desision to
move on. the human realm had been fun, at first, but it soon
became tiresome to be without contact with other dolls. so, on
a cold winter's night, the pair plotted their escape, to be carried
out the next day. they found a route so as to get out into the
corridor - all they had to do was roll under the bed at some point
and hide there til dark. after that, they could follow the girl's mother
undetected as she left her daughter's room after kissing her goodnight
and leave via the cat flap. once outside, the dollhouse seemed to
summon them; instinctively, they knew where to go. like magic.

personality: Shibata is very passionate and driven in pursuit of music. She can be seen as adventurous, cheeky and naive, often diving into projects without thought for personal safety, instead of staying with the group. Some misinterpret these acts of hers as eccentric and having more than a few screws loose in her head. Shibata is always eager to meet new friends, and is sometimes demanding of the others.
However, she still cares deeply for the other dolls, and takes threats to comrades very seriously.
summary: Shibata Jin is a member of the Dollhouse, a former anti social female who isolated herself. She conducts the interest of music, to the point of being obsessed with new tunes. She is deeply interested in instruments and finds herself humming a tune around others.
history: When she first came to the dollhouse, she wasn't very comfortable, and spent most of her time listening to music and writing songs.
After awhile, she and her Shadow, Tarumi, decided to interact with the others a bit. And slowly she began to fit in and become more calm around the other dolls. Shibata is called "Jin" by the others most of the time because of how she decided one day that she wanted her last name to be her new nickname, she liked the sound of Jin.
Ever since Shibata was a kid, she had a deep desire to sing a song or perform infront of a crowd.. But on the inside she knew that was anything but she really wanted to do. She was stage frightened usually, even if she had to speak into a mic to a small audience. As the years slowly passed, she became more and more interested in music and befriended her shadow named Tarumi.
Shibata began to write her own songs, just for the fun of it you know, and kept them in a small binder that was clearly labelled
"Do not touch.". She stills owns this binder to keep the memories in it just whenever she felt lonely or wanted to write a song.
The more she listened to music, the more she began to be herself. Thats when she became more outgoing and adventurous and even a bit demanding around others just around 2 years before she joined The Dollhouse. Shibata has a short temper and is very arguable and will try her hardest to win an argument.
deeper in the history: She made a deal once with her Shadow, while listening to their endlessly amazing music. || Jin gotten her costume from her father, who supported her in her music career. She sowed a few more details into the costume and made it so that it was special. Soon after this event, her father had died. Shibata now wears her costume almost daily because of her pride and memory of her father. || Shibata sat on a treebranch with her Shadow, munching on a freshly taken apple. Her Shadow purred, glad to be near her. Even if Shibata was always with her bestest friend, she wondered what really was out there. She had heard of the Dollhouse before, but never been there. She mumbled to her Shadow, which was almost merely talking to herself, relisting the names of some cool places to visit. "Hmm. How about we go to the Dollhouse first?" Shibata said, hopping down the tree as her Shadow, resembling a MP3 nodded various times. "Alright then, lets go find it, shall we!" And with that, Shibata had a map in hand and felt a big ridiculous not knowing the exact area she was in anyway. A few hours later, after asking for multiple times for directions, they both finally stumbled upon the Dollhouse.

cool facts about them: Shibata Jin often feels like she will be ridiculed for how she is obsessed with music, and often uses metaphors that others wouldn't understand. Even though she no longer has stage fright, the memories always make her a bit shaking during a crowd, but the others support her.
Jin also is adventurous and dare-devilish, so she usually pressures some of the others to do something ridiculous and "fun" in her perspective that others would probably not be comfortable doing due to the fact of possible death. But in the end, Jin always ends up dragging her friends to go do it, and it either ends up fun or boring for them, there is no inbetween.
