I agree with this. The Hobbit is a light-hearted children's adventure book, and Peter Jackson tried to make it into a dark, epic trilogy, which was just the wrong feel for the Hobbit. That book did not need 3 movies; it could've been done in 1 movie, and
maybe expanded to two.
A lot of things were done well in the Hobbit trilogy-- Smaug and the casting stand out-- but the attempt to make the Hobbit more LotR like, with the dark atmosphere of the second and third movies and the foreshadowing of Sauron, disappointed me.
I acctually really liked that it was like LOTR, If it was done in 1 move, i think it would have left out wayyy too much. And I liked that they tied it in with lotr, they didnt do that as much in the book.
I AM NO LONGER ACTIVE. Goodbye

Agreed! I would have been disappointed if it were one movie to be honest. Like you said, too much would have been left out.

he's sooo handsome D<υѕernaмe: Julia
race: Hobbit of course!
ғavoυrιтe cнaracтer(ѕ): Frodo (mainstream I knooow, but still he's perfection! I'd marry him right away),
but honestly, all of them? They all have a special place in Middle Earth, don't they c:
ғavoυrιтe вooĸ/мovιe(ѕ): I don't think you can quite compare the Hobbit and LotR. My favourite part of each movie and books is the first one, where everything begins in the shire.
ғavoυrιтe ѕcene(ѕ): birthday celebration of Bilbo in LotR and when young Bilbo leaves to go to his adventure in the Hobbit

I have received __ gifts.
