WaterClan
Rivertail moved to shake himself, but he stopped when he felt Honeydew's tail across his shoulders. He turned and gave her a curious look, but he didn't stop smiling. The blue-gray tom didn't mind the fact that the she-cat was helping to dry him off, but why would she? Up until now, they hadn't spoken except on patrols when they had to. Very interesting.
AirClan
Ashfeather listened to her leader quietly, her expression hardening as Pebblestar continued to speak. Her shoulder stung painfully, bringing tears to the corners of the silver cat's eyes once again.
I'm done listening to her. Let's just go home already. Ashfeather waited until Pebblestar had finished, then began to pad toward camp without a word.
Nightfeather and the other AirClan cats reached camp, and the black tom watched his clanmates drift off to their nests. He had resolved to wait up for his mate. His mate and his leader. Nightfeather took a deep breath to steel himself and turned around to face the rolling hills that hid his beloved.
EarthClan
Earthpaw nodded sheepishly and padded after his mentor. They had reached camp now, and he was worn out from that day's work. "I'm going to sleep," he muttered, just loud enough that Emberclaw could hear.
RockClan
Marshpelt sighed and gazed over at Islandsong once again, who was still refusing to meet his eyes. Should he tell her? Could he tell her? The second question was more appropriate. Could he get enough courage to say the words that could come back to bite him?
Too many questions! he hissed at himself. At least they were almost to camp. Marshpelt would make himself tell her in the morning, before she left for the Chosen meeting.
LeafClan
Berrykit glanced up anxiously and squealed in delight when she saw her big brother grinning down at her. "Leafshadow!" she mewled. "Tell me what it was like! The Gathering, I mean. What was it like?" The small kit waited patiently as Leafshadow contemplated what to tell her. "Well," he began,"There were dozens of cats from all the different clans. We all gathered around an enormous tree." Berrykit's eyes widened. "Was it bigger than our home tree?" she squeaked. Leafshadow smiled. "Even bigger than the home tree." Berrykit gasped in amazement. Leafshadow wanted to continue, but he could see the tired lines under Berrykit's eyes. A gentle frown came to his lips. "Now, I know you don't want to, but-" Berrykit stopped him with an accusing glare that quickly turned into a complacent smirk. "But you'll tell me more in the morning, won't you?" Leafshadow grinned at the clever little she-kit. "I suppose I will. Now off to bed with you." Berrykit smiled sweetly and hopped off to the empty nursery to sleep by herself once again.
DarkClan
Hopeflight's sleep was filled with strange dreams. It seemed that her subconscious mind was determined to take her all over PowerClans in one night. First she was padding up the old vine around the Centertree, hearing the leader's voices but not understanding what they were saying. Her leisurely walk turned into a run, but she just kept going round and round the trunk of the giant tree.
(I've got it! Everyone try to be online next Monday and we'll move on from this night. Special stuff will happen at the Chosen cats meeting! ^-^ I actually can't be here, ((I'm trekking through the desert in pioneer clothes for three days with a bunch of people from my church.)) but I'll leave my sister with detailed instructions and several drafts. *nods matter-of-factly*)
