Here Talis thought he was going to have a nice time in town. One without any sort of physical contact or the like. Oh how he was wrong. "Watch it." he hissed as a Dunmer nearly walked into him. He didn't honestly mean it, but he was baring his teeth slightly with his ears pinned back. Oh the cons of being raised half-feral. The Boiche's expression softened slightly when he saw just how... scared, this Dunmer was. "I'm not going to kill you." he added after a few seconds of silence.

Normally Talis would have kept walking, but this women seemed like she was about to get run over by a runaway carriage. He was about to ask if they were alright, but voted against it. His sympathy and understanding skills needed work, and besides, he would probably end up sounding sarcastic, adding more problems to the scenario.

Sorosi Nitrel studiously looked the mer halfling over
suspiciously as they began to speak, taking in their
hair that was tied up at the end (a sign of an active
individual,) the scar on their face (likely from a br-
awl,) and most importantly she studied the eyes.
Her life in Norn had taught her many things, but one
of the greatest lessons she had learned was that the
eyes were conveyers of the soul. No, she didn't bel-
ieve this man would kill her, surely not. The eyes
didn't seem to be one of a killer. She suspected tho-
ugh that whoever this was might not be against a
good brawl or two. So Sorosi composed herself and
addressed the individual. "You must not be from he-
re," she said eventually.

Talis chuckled and let his shoulders slump. He looked to the ground a bit and began to move in his spot slightly. He wasn't nervous, not at all, just a little taken back. This Dunmer was a strange one. One minute she was scared half to death, the next she was pointing out trivial information on someone. What a strange individual indeed.

"No" The half-elf said, letting his eyes trail to meet those of the Dunmer. "What gave it away? the..." Talis stopped and began to look around the town slightly. He furrowed his brow and turned to face the other fully this time. "fact that I've gotten more then eight hours of sleep this week?" he finished, voice becoming noticeably quieter. The more he thought about it, the more the elf questioned why everyone looked so horrible and tired. Something magical was going on, wasn't it?

Sorosi Nitrel furrowed her brow as she tried to remember
what the man was referring to. Posing as someone who
lived right next to the town she supposed not for the first
time that she ought to look further into the town, be able
to answer questions and the like. Her mind raced as she
hurried her thoughts so it wouldn't seem as if she had to
spend too much time to retrieve an answer. Such a thing
could lead to suspicion or questions as to why she didn't
know about, well, whatever it was. Sleep, a lack of sleep.
Perhaps it could be ghastly noises in the night, or maybe
it was the number eight that held significance in this com-
parison. Or magic used to minimize the need for sleep, an
odd cultural request but possible none the less... Magic,
her mind returned to that word. But what sort of enchant-
ment would be put to such a use? Illusion, Alteration, En-
chantment... Possibly a curse... Well now, this deduction
might take a while, she concluded. So instead she chose to
answer in an alternate way. "More so the fact that yours is
a face I don't recognize, sir," Sorosi said after a bit of tho-
ught.

Talis kept his brow furrowed as he inspected the town, not truly paying much attention to the Dunmer. Frankly, he was more interested in finding out why everyone looked so... dead.

"Well, I could just be antisocial, not really wanting the whole "outside experience"... but you're right, nonetheless, I'm not from here." He answered. It sounded like he was stalling, didn't it? Well, that's the price for beig distracted in a conversation...

Sorosi Nitrel looked a bit taken aback at the possibility.
Indeed, it hadn't occurred to her that she might've been
speaking to a more solitary sort of person. But she was
reminded again of the traits this person had which made
them seem like more of a busybody. "Beg pardon sir, but
if you had been a hermit then your hair wouldn't be pul-
led back so as not to get in your way. Indeed there is lit-
tle need to have your hair up if your just going to be in
your house all day. Unless of course it's purely for cosme-
tic reasons," she pointed out thoughtfully. The comment
about the townsfolk looking, well, off was slowly slinking
towards the back of her mind.

Talis chuckled and raised an eyebrow slightly. "maybe I just like having my hair tied back. It's easier to eat, read, and write, when I find the time and motivation." He answered. Initially, the half-elf was going to answer with "draw maps", but he decided to keep this little game going. Maybe he could get the Dunmer to think he were an actual resident here?
