I settled down for the night using one of the pillows she set down. "Goodnight then."

"well i think the first time you changed was near this time. so i think you should change sometime soon if not tonight." Sam thought, trying to take his mind off of the recent events.

Sapphire suddenly felt a sharp sting on her arm and looked down to see a blow dart. "ow! w-wha... what's that...?-" she asked before she was overcome with drowsiness and fell asleep on the shore.
from behind a tree, another blow dart was shot at Kane and Aliowny with the same intent.

Kane looked frantically around when he saw that she was unconscious on the ground. "Hey, What's wro-" He put his hand on the back of his neck when he felt something akin to being bit from a fire ant. What appeared to be a throwing dart was in his hand, and he threw it to the ground until drowsiness took over, made him stumble and fell to the ground without any grace to it.

"ok" she layer down and soo drifted to sleep

Sapphire awoke a few hours later feeling very sore and groggy. she felt something tight around her mouth and wrists. blinking her eyes open, she looked down and saw a pair of legs. confusion about what had happened and whom they belonged to turned into a startled intake of breath when she traced them up to her body. instead of her dark blue and white finned tail she now had a pair of milky colored legs and a flowy white skirt that reminded her of her fins. she realized that she couldn't scream because of a strip of cloth gagging her and couldn't move because of vines trying her to a tree behind her. a look to her side showed her Kane was tied in the same way and also asleep but not gagged. she tried to wake him up but all she could do was nudge him and make muffled crys.

Kane groaned when he felt someone nudging him. When he went to get up, his eyes opened wide when he couldn't. "What the hell?! Whoever did this better prey and hope that I don't get my hands on them, 'cause I'm going to strangle them." He growled as he tried to get loose until he saw Sapphire, with a cloth tied around her mouth, he would ask about the legs after they get out afterwards. Definitely, he's going to beat the crap out of the people that did this. His struggling increased as he didn't like the fact he couldn't move.

Sapphire gave a muffled whimper when a bearded man in his forties wearing worn and faded clothes tramped through the underbrush towards them. "i don't think that'll be happening anytime soon." he said and set a long stick carrying some fish down next to a fire pit. the sky was getting dark so the light of the fire would be a welcome element. "you see, i'm getting off this island. if you're smart you'd help me." he said.
Sapphire was scared of this human. she tried to scoot closer to Kane for protection.
