Ah, I see what you mean. I just pay attention to the days it has left, and math never was my strong suit.

I don't know, actually. I have never even gotten close to making a neglected myself, but from the way it was explained to me, as long as you don't 'bounce' your egg to another user to knock off the incubation and give yourself more time (and also knocking off the influencing in the process), then it will give you an ungendered Neglected. I fully intend to try it one of these days when I don't lose patience with having an egg slot occupied for an entire week, and I'll report what happens whenever I do--especially if I actually get any kind of neglected out of my attempt.

Aha! I found it on DragCave Wiki, though I was slightly mistaken:

It is a proven fact that influencing an egg when it is 3 or more days either male or female before it turns neglected will result in a genderless Neglected Dragon, as long as it was teleported to another user before it hatched. With other eggs, influencing drops upon abandonment or teleport, but in the case of the Neglected eggs, it appears to make their gender unknown.

Good thing I looked that up, now I just need a teleport buddy for whenever I try this...

I'll get you a random egg from the cave, influence it and then send it to you. if you want I can do the final hatching for you and give you the Hatchlings. it was caught at 3:28am DC time or 8:28 am GMT.
