♥ Emeraldsky ♥

Emeraldsky sat crouched in a holly bush, her eyes darting from place to place, watching the rabbit hop around. Her tail swayed back in forth as her claws slowly unsheathed. The rabbit sniffed the air, smelling the she-cat's scent. It started to run, but before it could hop into a bush across the clearing, Emeraldsky sprang into action. She leaped up and into the air, almost three feet off the ground, swiftly landing square on top of her target. The rabbit wriggled around, trying to get out from its cage; Emeraldsky's paws. Emeraldsky quickly bit the rabbit's neck, giving it a fatal blow. Wanting to hunt some more, she pawed a small dent into the soft soil and placed the rabbit inside, covering the fresh-kill with leaves. Emeraldsky tasted the air, almost immediately catching the scent of a squirrel. She followed the scent trail, and found the squirrel nibbling on a nut near a small pond. Without thinking-- mostly because there was no place close enough to the squirrel to hide --Emeraldsky lunged for the unaware rodent. Its ears perked up, and it darted off and scrambled up a tree across the pond, leaving Emeraldsky to smash her head into the ground. "Owwww," the she-cat moaned. She turned and grabbed the beech leaf she had wrapped around her stomach. Emeraldsky pulled out the poppy seeds and began chewing on a few, and some of the pain she felt went away. 'I should get back to camp,' she said to herself in her head, padding back to where she left the rabbit carcass. Emeraldsky pawed away the leaves and took the rabbit.
Emeraldsky trotted into camp and dropped her fresh-kill into the pile. She noticed that her fur was a mess, and padded over to the edge of camp. She began to groom herself, taking out the bits of dirt and burs here and there.
((Also, sorry about the long post. I'm really bored x3))
