I believe everyone has an opinion about wolves although I usually don't like people who think humans are better than animals, for me the order of importance in basicly
family
friends=pets
rest of animals= rest of humans
You might call me an extremist but still if I had to chose between saving an animal and saving a human and wouldn't go straight for the human
or the animal but I would just think about it for a second,eventually I would try and figure out a way to save both and at least if one of them dies I would have done something to try and save them.

I don't think people even hunt wolves nearly as much as they do deer and similar animals, most likely because there is more resource coming from a deer(pelt, meat, skulls, antlers) than from a wolf considering most don't eat the meat.
