moriko, or mori for short, use to faith
fully guard and nourish a small forest
in japan. due to a her clumsy actions,
(really, what kind of forest spirit messes
up herbs?) she spends her days greeting
guests and filling tubs. her soft-spoken
words and timid behavior isn't suited for
the business, but her devotion to her
tasks and guests is admirable. she's a bit
"off" as well, occasionally talking to
herself or getting flustered when she's
angry. although usually well-mannered,
mori is wary and stoic towards humans,
believing them to be destructive beings.

she was once a careless spirit; free, lovely, without a care in the world. but then she saw him wander into the spirit world. her heart fluttered like a bird, truly love at first sight. she tried to help him escape, she truly did-- but he held a bitter hatred for spirits and pushed her help aside. so she painstakingly watched as the object of her one-sided love faded from existence. never before has she been the same, and never before had such a hatred for humans blossomed inside of her soul. yet, is it really hatred, or just fear of what can happen for the lost beings? nonetheless, the broken-hearted spirit now works as an entertainer at the bathhouse, wary of any humans.

Okinami is an ancient dragon that claims he is as old as the ocean itself. Over the thousands of years he has lived Okinami has seen many wars. In fact he claims to be the spirit of 'Bushidō' itself, lending those who believe in the warrior spirit meaning of loyalty, philosophies, power, and wisdom in everyday life. As the warrior spirit began to decline in the human world, Okinami was forced to seek other ways to insure his survival in the spirit world.

But as the world became more modern, wars became a thing of the past, and he soon became desperate. How could he survive, if there was no one left to teach the warrior's way? Then, an idea. A wonderful, brilliant thought, came to him. He would become a god. This idea became so saturated in his brain that Okinami searched endlessly for a creature that could help him achieve his goal, hence a deal was stuck with the Bath Witch. She promised him that she would transform him into a god, if in return Okinami served her for three thousand years.

is the mouse spirit; quick, nimble, and finicky in
both forms, he is a nervous little thing with an e
-ver fluctuating way about him. In his mouse fo-
rm, he is obviously quite small, but in his human
form, he carries a more lanky (yet still nimble)
body. He often committed petty thefts, which,
eventually, led to his crossing of the bath witch.
Caught trying to nab food from the bathhouse,
he has sealed his fate as a worker within its walls.
Though very easily frightened by others, he is quiet
and quick enough to sneak around whatever and
whomever he pleases, effectively avoiding situ-
ations. He is truly a little mouse of a spirit.
