Duskflight's eyes twinkled, amused by Eaglebounce's kitlike excitement. She heard a voice behind her and jumped slightly, only just realizing that Falconpaw had been waited for her to turn around. "Sure. We could always use another cat on patrol," she purred before heading out of camp, flicking her tail to signal them to follow her.

Reedpelt narrowed his eyes at Eaglebounce, disgusted. He was acting like a two moon old kit, for StarClan's sake! He didn't say anything about it, though, as he didn't want to upset Duskflight and get kicked off the patrol. He padded confidently behind the she-cat, his tail raised indignantly.

Falconpaw jogged forward, Duskflight gave the signal and headed for the entrance. She took the lead next to the she-cat. As soon they left camp, Falconpaw became alert. Ears perked and eyes focused.

Seeing that the cats had already made plans, the tom turned to give his shoulder a quick lick. He spotted Huronspark sitting alone. Deciding to joing her, Spottedtail leaped to his paws and padded quickly over. "Good morning Huronspark, lovely day isn't it." the tom meowed cheerily.

"It is quite nice, today," She mewed in an overly cool and collected tone. She flicked her tail over her paws, and gazed up at the cloudy sky. A warm wind buffeted her tortoiseshell and white pelt. "So, what's your plan for today?" She asked Spottedtail, trying to start a conversation.

"Well, the daw. patrol just went out, so probably some hunting." Spottedtail meowed. He sat next to the she-cat and wrapped his long tail around his paws. "Do you have any plans? I wouldn't mind having a hunting partner." he politely asked. He felt the warm wind under his thick dusty colored, black specked pelt. A warm grin to match the day.

Duskflight sniffed at some underbrush as she passed, checking for any sign of strange cat scent. Luckily she found none, so she marched up a small slope leading towards the western border. Birds chirped overhead, and a warm breeze ruffled her fur. She was glad to be alive right at this moment, surrounded by family and friends who cared for her. She checked the border, then turned, scenting prey in the air. It smelled suspiciously like a cluster of rabbits, so perhaps there was a juicy, well-fed warren somewhere nearby.

The Maine Coon raced after Dawnflight with a happy smile. He never favored a border patrol so he only tagged along for the possibility of hunting. Eaglebounce looked around the territory trying to entertain himself so he wouldn't get bored in which he does easily.

She turned her head to the apprentice and respondedc "Yes you can. You can join Duskflight's patrol if you wish to and if she will allow you. They are just about to leave so you may as well ask now." Ravenstar gave her a friendly smile before turning back onto Fallenbranch.

The male then followed the rest and padded beside Falconpaw. "So you joined the patrol. That's cool. It's nice to have another apprentice join then just me with a bunch of warriors. I look forward to the hunting part of this trip really."

Falconpaw matched Icepaw's pace so the two could talk. She listened quietly, suprised that the young tom decided to talk to her. "Yeah, Doepelt is nowhere to be found and I figured I aught to do something to help the clan. I'm usually stuck with just warriors as well, hunting isn't my strong suit but I enjoy it." the black and ginger she-cat meowed in response.

"I know how you feel. With me being smaller then normal cats my age I'm basically useless but it's worth hunting then just walking around and remarking borders." He responded with a sigh. Icepaw hated being smaller then other cats and he knew it was going nowhere.
