This is your place on CS to find your niche, your fellow swimmers and ocean-goers. It doesn't matter if you're currently on the varsity team of water polo or if you've just swam once or twice and want to chat about it. Here, everyone is welcome and supported, no matter their interest, skill level, or experience. The only rules are to stay on topic, and only discuss water-sports related topics, and to be kind to all posters.

What you currently do:
uhm, right now, just recreational swimming until i can get into competition.
What you have done:
water polo and friendly competitions with other fellow swimmers
What you want to do:
Diving and Snorkling
What got you into it:
my father was a literal fish.
he could swim from island to island in the Caribbean if he was 'bored'.
Advice you'd give to people interested in the same sport:
if you believe, im sure you can compete.
just practice as much as you can and dont listen to those who bring you down c;

-the coldness of it {i live in 100 degree weather}
-it feels like your floating
-the adrenaline rush
-it strengthens my lungs
Least favorite parts:
-i have asthma so i can hold my breath for too long
-im skinny so once i get out, i get cold fast
-my hair messes up xD
-im always hungry/tired after

and unfortunately i am super busy right now, but in the future i hope to get back into swimming and get toned again {my arms are flabby ;w;} and try to find a team {cos im sure there is one here}
im more interested in diving than like, triathlons and racing and stuff

Yeah, I so know what you mean! I really wanted to devote more of this summer to training but I ended up with a part-time job that was too good to pass up. My summer break is honestly just a break from schooling... um, not even that actually I still have to do summer work. XD This summer isn't really a break.

I do competitive swimming. I actually just started! I have not even been a swimmer for a year yet. I kind of did swim team for three months as a 4th grader but I'd hardly count that, haha. I started really late, joining swimming over halfway through high school. I haven't done any sport before. It sounds like a recipe for disaster, but in the context of my not-athletic history I did pretty decent!

I want to swim again this year, but doing so will be a huge sacrifice, as so much is going on in my life. I think I'm willing to do that though... I'll try to take easier classes (I'm academically gifted but I put too much pressure on myself) and I'll try to save art for relaxing. The odds are against me, though. XD

I'm really bad at diving. How do you do it? I think I just need to get more used to the feel of being upside down underwater, heh heh c:

welp, i can get that...ive been busy since summer started xD
i havent even touched pool water yet ; w;
buuuuut wow! just started! thats sounds fun. uhm, im really not athletic either so yay!! *high fives*
i got my swimming genes from my dad so when he taught me to swim it came naturally. but i hope summer will ease up so i can swim i bit xD

and diving it SO FUN ASGAH
i guess i just really have a good posture so its easy..idk but like, i just go on the board and jump i guess lol
and swim team sounds fun...id like to go to a meet one time just to experience it ya know? even though i wont compete probably.

My dad was in swim team when he was my age and all through highschool, he was the one who taught me to swim and I'm such a daddy's girl I just loving swimming cuz of him heh
Advice you'd give to people interested in the same sport(s):
Well, the first few weeks hurt like heck, but then you get used to it, and don't think the water keeps you cool, eventually you'll get hot in the water.

Favorite parts: I love the feeling when I first jump into the water, its so refreshing!
Least favorite parts: My hair gets all dry xD
What do you want to discuss the most on this thread? What interests you best?: I just love the idea of fellow water lovers(FISH) all in a club, like, my peeeooooplleee
