Somebody should really figure that out, all you have to do is stalk a frog for a couple of days.
What's everybody's favorite pet amphibian, and why?
I used to be sugar pixel .

Dart frogs. I didnt think i'd like them, and then got a trio and they are infinitely more interesting imo than most other frogs, just because they are out and active all day which is nice

Anyone here owned Fire Belly newts before? I'm getting a few soon and want a little advice from someone with experience c: I've been doing heaps of research, but still have some questions:
- How much food do they eat? I know bloodworms and earthworms are both good foods for them, but I'm not sure how much to feed? Like how many worms per newt?
- Is substrate necessary (underwater)? Can it be bare-bottom?
- Do they prefer a more or less densely planted tank?
Thanks ^u^

Hey everyone! Hope this thread isn't dead but I just wanted to share my excitement with other axolotl owners! I just got a juvenile in today and I'm super excited.. He's in a 10 gallon with a haide, a few decorations, some live plants, and a bowl as of now and I am super excited to raise him up(: Do you think I should try and feed him today?

Congrats on the new axolotl! I want one in the future, but for now I am content with my lil Beta fish in the tank I have going right now. I would love to see pictures of your setup! The only thing I know about them is that you can't have small substrate as they can and will eat it while foraging at the bottom of the tank. ovo So those pretty large round pebble things work good for them? n.n I don't know if that's right or not but its just what I've heard from reading people's posts about them around the web/facebook. ovo
I own three pacman frogs, all cranwellis. The female is an albino and my two boys are normal greens. ovo
PaxZeldaLeon(all really old pictures they all look fatter now and Zelda has grown A LOT since then. She's an eating machine that frog, she will eat anything I put in front of her including attempts at my fingers hehe)
The cool thing about this species is the fact that they actually have teeth! ovo Not my photo, but check out
this albino's teeth to see what they look like ovo Pretty cool, but once they get to Zelda and Pax's size, they can do some minor damage. They haven't got me very good yet, but Zelda bit my boyfriend and caused him to bleed a little bit. X'3 Like little needles... XD
