"Wait...you're telling me that those stories are true? And that I am going to be stuck here until, I either die of natural causes or the local wildlife kills me?" Kane thought those stories were just to keep young men, well young people in general, from going on any kind of boat and getting themselves kill from something stupid. He just did it just to spite both his parents and brother, and now trouble had found him. "My parents are probably raging at the fact I left, hell my brother is probably wanting to strangle me for not listening at all."

Sam gave a laugh as he rubbed his head. "neither do i." he replied with a smile. "but at least it's out in the open now."

Sapphire took a deep breath and lifted her tail out of the water for him to see. "we merfolk are also the real owners of this island."

"Wha-" Kane's eyes got wide when he saw a tail being lifted from the water. He didn't have anything to say about what he was seeing though what he had been told was actually truth. "I-I..I see..."

Kane just nodded in reply. "All this time I thought that my brother was spewing steam from his ears, and that he was just saying things about mermaids, sirens, creatures like, just to stop me from going on a ship and going out to sea. Guess he was right." He said with a small laugh.
