Sunstar's face went warm, but he didn't let it show. "Well... There are more things to do." He said, a little quieter.

"Wolfclaw! Are you okay?" Rivermist called, hoping that he didn't hurt himself.

I sighed quietly. "Yes. But that doesn't mean you can never think of yourself. Just because you're leader doesn't mean you csn't have a life outside that."

"I'm fine!" He calls before continuing down the tree. Once he was at the lowest branch he climbs down the trunk then jumped down onto the ground. He smiles at Rivermist before walking towards her. "See perfectly fine." He says before trpping over one of the tree roots.

Sunstar thought for a moment, then rested his tail on his shoulder knowing that they should be getting back. "You're absolutely right. Thank you." He said, then beckoned her back to the way to camp.

Rivermist laughed and came up to him. "I can tell." She joked. She sighed, not wanting to go back to camp.

This would be a perfect time to tell him. I sant to tell Sunstsr how I feel about him... but whst if he rejects me?

Sunstar led the way back to camp, the happiness and light starting to fade from his eyes as they went.

He sighs and sits up. "Haha very funny. Come on, let's get back." He mews as he shook the dust from his fur before heading towards camp.

I finally tell myself that it's fine if he rejects me. Just because he was a tom I happened to like didn't mean he was obliged to like me back. "Sunstar? Before we... before we get bsck. There's something I want... to tell you."

Rivermist nodded. "Yeah." She said quietly, falling into step beside him.

Sunstar turned back to her, curiosity in his eyes. "Yes?" He asked.

I had a hard time opening my mouth, but when I did the words flowed out uncontrollably. "Sunstar, I really like you. A lot, ad in more than a friend. I know you might not feel thd same way, I just wanted to tell you, but if you want you can ignore this and we can both forget aboug it and go back to being friends."
