WaterClan

Honeydew's head snapped around with a little, soft mew of surprise. The starlight was catching on her short, silky golden pelt, giving it a special sheen that vanished during the day. Her green eyes snagged on a smoky colored tom cat; she knew his name, but it escaped her, at that moment... something with 'river' in it... Oh!

"Oh, hello, Rivertail."

The bengal she-cat murmured with a sweet smile, but she kept paddling so as not to be dragged underneath the surface. Her paws, with slight webbing between the slender toes, scooped pawfuls of water behind her. The she-cat moved like an eel through the water; snakelike and graceful, slipping between the moon-silvered ripples with ease.

Pinetail hissed and whirled around, his ears flattened against the delicate bones of his skull. When he noted that the cat was from his own clan, and an apprentice at that, he decided to go a little easier on him. He hauled the small cat to his feet and recognised him as Earthpaw, the apprentice whose mind was often in the clouds.[/color]

EarthClan
Emberclaw realized Earthpaw had vanished yet again. StarClan He needs a bell around his neck. He wanders around more than a blind fox. After a few moments ge spotted him with Pinetail and swerved to join them. "Hello Pinetail. I see Earthpaw was daydreaming again." The large red tom let out an amused purr as he lightly flicked Earthpaws shoulder with his tail.

[[I wasn't sure where I last left Shadepaw, but I was in a hurry so I just started typing. . . I manged to squeeze this in real quick, so excuse me if a few things are a bit inaccurate. Silver, I hope that Tink and I won't have to persist on reminding you to type the character you are posting for's Clan above the post. You have broken that rule several times already. I don't, Believing. Both cats are in their Clan's camp. One of them is recovering from nearly drowning [She inhaled excess amounts of water so her lungs are still healing, and she is very weak.], and the other was kept at camp because her shoulder had been dislocated two days previously. She is perfectly fine, though, other then her tendencies to see things that aren't really there. . . n.n" [That reminds me; I still have to post for her experience while most of the other were at the Gathering. . .]
@Tink: Don't worry, I missed her birthday too. Only by a day, though -- I gifted her with a fan-banner of Featherkit. |3
Anyway, I have to go now. I apologize if I missed anyone's OOCs.
EDIT: X'3 Willow. A bell would only make it easier for Stormpaw to find him so they-- [/isshotbyTink]]]
Gathering
Almost immediately upon Skystar adjourning that night's Gathering, Shadepaw craned his neck in order to track his Clan's leader's path down Centertree and toward the fringe of scraggly bushes that indicated the start of IceClan's territory. He permitted a few moments to allow the new information to sink in. It curdled his blood and thoughts as it did so, but somehow the young black tom managed to hold himself together. That was slightly ironic if one thought about it long enough. Inside, albeit very deep down inside, Shadepaw was a screaming wreck. Why had StarClan chosen him to battle DarkClan? How would his destiny unravel amid the other chosen cats' fates? What role would he play in the grander scheme of plans? Would he even be among the living after all of this was over? That last question chilled him to the bone; although he was an IceClan cat and accustomed to the cold and harshness, being doomed to fight a battle that was seasons past one of his age and experience would terrify even the most hard-headed warrior. Shadepaw was reminded of a vague memory of a time perhaps a few days before, a fleeting recollection of his mentor commenting that he would have his warrior ceremony soon for sure, but even the notion of gaining a new rank tasted bittersweet in the dark-furred apprentice's newly refined taste buds. Even if I gain a new name, it isn't like I'll be able to keep it for very long anyway. . . Shadepaw thought bleakly. He was hopeless in the face of DarkClan's army, a mere apprentice no matter what the second part of his name was. No, a more defiant voice within the IceClan tom's head countered. I do stand a chance. Shadepaw grinded his teeth and discarded the next unspoken line that echoed in his mind: Albeit a very slim one. . . It rang throughout his body, resounding in his bowels and upturning his stomach. Shadepaw's slightly arrogant nature allowed him to find a paw hold to dig his claws into, and he did his best to ignore any negative thoughts about his life from then on. He would not stoop so low as to give up before a single claw had been unsheathed. If he went down, he would be sure to leave an assembly of corpses in his wake.

Before he knew it, the cold-eyed tom was pawing the ground where the terrain split into a division of pebbly stones and half-dead plants that were struggling to break through them, let alone survive. He threw an almost brusque glance over his shoulder to where Skystar was reassuring herself that every IceClan cat was present before leaving the hollow; Shadepaw was careful to hide the challenging glint in his gaze, so as to avoid receiving a reprimanding from the older cat. Of course, she needn't have bothered checking; IceClan was always the first Clan to leave, eager to escape the writhing mass of cats that made the loners uncomfortable. They often directed themselves to the borderline as soon as they could by default. The familiar symphony of chattering cats gradually filled the hollow, piercing Shadepaw's eardrums at their relatively cacophonous volume. That earned Skystar another warily empty scowl from a particularly antisocial Clanmate, but to the thick-furred feline's immense relief, she was already turning around to lead her Clan to their cave camp. Shadepaw instantly drew his face to a blank in order to refrain from getting caught; thankfully, the striped she-cat didn't seem to notice. A small rift formed in the throng of cats to let her through, and in a few heartbeats they were bounding along behind her. They fell into a familiar formation as they raced through the stony territory, which was becoming more and more frigid as their paws thudded against the ground.

Shadepaw fell into a state of mindless nirvana as the group ran, their muffled paw-steps falling in synch with their thundering hearts. The land transformed into a thing of pure beauty, a habitat of skinny, bare trees slicked with ice and pristine white fields of freshly fallen snow. It seemed to bear a sense of regality as a place of such astounding beauty. Too bad Shiverpaw isn't here. Shadepaw found himself thinking, and immediately he gaped inwardly at the thought. He also found his betraying mind musing about what the scarred she-cat would think when she discovered that he was condemned by their ancestors. His unwelcome thoughts were scattered when a scene came rushing back to him as his Clan leaped over a fallen long painted white by the silently falling snow in unison. Shadepaw remembered the last time he jumped over such a large object. It had been during a period of heart-pounding desperation, his ragged breaths echoing over the barren land as he prayed with every other one that it wouldn't be too late. The older apprentice was forced to veer sharply to the right in order to avoid a painful collision with some generic Clanmate when his pace slowed a little bit. That hadn't been the first time he remembered the events of the Battle of the Eclipse, and it most certainly was not among the last. Shadepaw distracted himself by reminding himself that they were nearly at their destination and attempted to lose himself in the uniform landscape, but the recollections clung to him stubbornly nonetheless.
[[Oh, and Fairy -- I almost forgot. I've been watching Ouran lately. . . |D
I also forgot to type this yesterday: PowerClans will be officially one year old next Monday. I'm thinking about doing something for celebration. . . What about you guys? Tink?]]

(I didn't know I could wield a rifle so efficiently. *blows smoke away from the muzzle*
It depends on what you mean by something, Rose. I'm horrible at celebrations and anything even somewhat similar. x3)

FireClan
Flameheart rolled over onto his back as he slept, sniffling obnoxiously. He was dreaming that he was sneaking through WaterClan territory to see Rainsong, as he had in his younger days. The red tom began to snore lightly, his dream-self having reached the edge of WaterClan camp and called for his beloved. Flameheart had this dream often, and he knew exactly how it would end.

Nightfire waited until the tall grass Ashfeather had dashed into had stopped moving completely except for the gentle swaying the breeze caused. Then the night-pelted cat padded back to her clanmates, refusing to meet anyone's eyes. She thought that maybe Ashpaw and Silverclaw were looking at her, but she couldn't be sure. She wasn't in the mood to find out. Somewhere deep in Nightfire's eyes, a light had gone out. A light that Nightfire's very existance depended on.

Foxflame gasped for breath as he came to the border between SunClan and LeafClan territory. He halted his run for a minute to catch his breath and decide what to do next. His heart had never stopped racing from the shock of Sunstar's appearance. Foxflame was just glad he had gotten out alive.

WaterClan
Rainstar jumped at the sound of a large splash, her eyes flashing in the direction of the river. As soon as she recognized the pair of bodies in the frigid water, her spiked fur began to lay down. "Honeydew! Rivertail!" she called. "Come out of there or you'll freeze to death. Pinefeather already has enough to worry about without you two catching cold."

Rivertail grinned as Rainstar reprimanded him. "We'd better go," he whispered to Honeydew as he paddled back to the shore. The gray tom dragged his dripping pelt out of the water and shook his paws free of most of the water droplets clinging to them. Chilly air hit him like a blow from a RockClan cat, and Rivertail began shivering immediately. Maybe he would catch cold as Rainstar had warned. He hoped not.

Silverleaf closed her eyes and breathed in the moist WaterClan air. She could hear rushing water in the distance, and a splash. And was that Rainstar's voice? The silver she-cat picked up the pace, realizing how close they were to the rest of the clan. She glanced over with a pair of leaf-green eyes to see if Cloudfur had heard the sounds as well.

Dawnmist awoke with a groan, also waking her denmate. Noclaw looked over at the tabby cat with his angry yellow eyes. "What's the matter?" he meowed gruffly, concerned for Dawnmist but also perturbed at being woken up in the middle of the night. The gray tabby smiled weakly at her friend, trying not to show her pain. "It's nothing. You just go back to sleep." Noclaw grunted in disbelief but laid his head down all the same. Dawnmist froze until his scruffy pelt rose and fell in the rhythm of sleep. Then she released the limb that had been paining for examination. The she-cat gazed down at her throbbing paw, squinting so she could see better. There didn't appear to be anything wrong with it... Pinefeather already had her paws full trying to nurse Dawnsinger back to consciousness. She needn't worry about a frail old elder as well. Dawnmist's paw could wait.

AirClan
Stormcall knelt beside his beloved, watching as she slowly lapped up the water the dripped from the moss. Dawnsinger was awake now. Would she be okay? She had to be okay, she just had to. Stormcall waited in silence until the light gray she-cat laid her head back down on the soft earth. "Dawnsinger?" he mewed.

Nightfeather jogged nervously along just behind Silverwind and Stripetail. They were almost to camp, and there was still no sign of Pebblestar and Ashfeather. Where had they disappeared to? For a moment, Nightfeather deeply wished he had gone back with his leader to fetch Ashfeather. It was too late now. Now he could only hope that they were heading safely back to camp.

Ashfeather stared at the ground as her leader talked. It prickled her fur to talk behind someone's back like this, even if it was Bloodstar. She remembered as a young kit when her father would tell her similar things and then wink, "But don't repeat that." It had felt evil, and the same guilty feeling came back to her now. "Exactly. It's not your problem." Pebblestar had already started to walk back to camp, but Ashfeather didn't move. Great. I must be setting a new record. How many leaders can one cat offend in one night? "It's not your problem, so leave it alone. I never want to hear you talking like that again." Ashfeather's chest heaved with the exhilaration of talking back. She felt like she might cry. "Back at the Gathering, you should have stayed out of it. It was my problem, not yours. I would have been just fine if you hadn't stuck your muzzle in my business."

EarthClan
Moonlily gazed through the shadows across the dark earth, trying to judge how close the group was to camp. They had been walking for what seemed like ages. The pale-furred warrior was tired, and she wanted to get home to her warm burrow. With the last bit of her powers, she sent an echo wave through the ground to tell her how far they were from EarthClan camp. Just as the wave of power came bouncing back to her, Lilystep intercepted it. Moonlily frowned in despair. Now she would have to keep walking, trusting that they would get home eventually. Lilystep turned around, her blue face adopting a mischevious look. "The moon will touch the treetops before we are home." The pointed she-cat turned back around and kept walking, leaving Moonlily to wonder what to do next. The moon will touch the treetops... She turned her green eyes up to the sky, locating the full moon only a mouse-length away from the treeline. At least it wouldn't be too much longer.

Earthpaw was hauled roughly to his feet and then joined by Emberclaw, his mentor. "Hello Pinetail. I see Earthpaw was daydreaming again." The tabby apprentice dropped his ears in embarrassment.

RockClan
Whiterunner ran behind Fawnstar, deep in thought. He deftly jumped over piles of stones and nimbly avoided spiky plants. The white tom knew his territory as well as he knew his own pawprints. He could have navigated his way home with his eyes shut and only sound and feeling to guide him. He had no need for that tonight, though he was so lost in thought. Heathersong. Prophecy. These new ideas were swirling around in Whiterunner's mind, evading his attempts to make any sense of them. Maybe things will be clearer in the morning. The deputy calmed his mind and let his gaze return to his leader in front of him so he could focus more on where they were going.

Marshpelt glanced at Islandsong again, unsure if he should say something to the creamy she-cat or not. She had been silent ever since RockClan had left the Gathering, and it was somewhat unnerving. Islandsong hadn't even looked up from her paws as she weaved through the dangerous terrain, a deep furrow in her brow. Marshpelt knew that meant she was thinking. And worried. As much as he wanted to say something to reassure her, he didn't think there was anything else he could do. He had tried to say something comforting back in the clearing, but Islandsong had merely brushed him off. I hope she'll be alright.

Stormkit yawned, his tiny kit teeth glinting in the moonlight the filtered through the bracken walls of the nursery. It was so dark. And so late. All of his littermates were sleeping, as was his mother. His mother. The small patched tom got to his feet and padded over to his sleeping mother's face. Her expression was troubled, as if she was having nightmares as she slept. Stormkit gently licked his mother's cheek, a concerned look on his young face. "Sleep well, Mother," he murmured before curling up in the crook of her neck to sleep once again.

IceClan
Skystar led her clanmates into their snowy camp and headed straight for her den. There was a warrior ceremony to conduct, but it would have to wait for morning. The striped leader was too tired, and so were her warriors.

Nightfall padded into camp, breathing heavily. His lungs burned, and he was thankful for the distraction. Skystar padded into her den immediately, signifying that it was time to sleep. The night-pelted warrior looked around for his apprentice. He found Shadepaw staring off into space, lost in thought. "Shadepaw," he meowed. "Get to bed. Your ceremony will be in the morning." Without waiting for the dark-furred apprentice to respond, Nightfall padded into one of the small ice caves that connected to form the warrior's den. He found his own familiar nest and curled up in the soft fern fronds, refusing to let his mind wander as he fought to sleep.

As the IceClan cats arrived at their camp, a remote corner of Stonecry's mind took over his body. His sharp yellow eyes turned to rest on Shadepaw. Wasn't the apprentice ready to become a warrior by now? It wouldn't hurt to have some fun with him. Stonecry took one step toward the black apprentice and heard his paw crunch in the snow. The sound seemed to prick his brain, and Stonecry shook his head. What was he doing? The gray tom cat stumbled to his nest, feeling very confused.

SunClan
Sunstar let out another great sigh and turned to halfway face his clan. "To bed with you all," he meowed, causing the warriors to disperse to their temporary sleeping places. He turned to his mate, who ran her tail down his shoulder comfortingly. "Petalsong is awake now." Sunstar's head snapped up. "Thanks to Foxflame." Oh. Sunstar was a little put off by this, but he still padded into the hollow stump to see his daughter.

Petalsong looked up in surprise to see another visitor; her father. A gentle smile lit up the frail tabby's face. "Good night, father," she mewed. The golden tom smiled in relief and came to give her a lick on the forehead, just as he had done when she was a kit. "Good night, Petalsong." The great leader paused at the den entrance to glance back at his daughter once more, but Petalsong had already laid down. In a few more moments, she and her litter were fast asleep. Sunstar leapt to the top of the stump and curled up there for the night.

Brightpaw padded up to Flowerface nervously, exhaustion visible on her cream-colored face. "Good night, Brightpaw." Her mentor smiled down at her and directed her into the leader's den to sleep. Brightpaw was a little surprised at this. She thought that maybe Flowerface would have something for her to do. Oh, well. The medicine cat apprentice was asleep as soon as her head hit the den floor.

LeafClan
Heathersong trotted along near the front of her clan, lost in thought. The strange prophecy that had been given to her only minutes before was still on her mind, but so far she hadn't been able to decipher its meaning. She was so distracted that her front paw got caught on a tree root just as they entered camp. The medicine cat came tumbling to the ground, causing Berrykit to jump out of the way and several other cats to swerve to avoid her. Heathersong quickly got back up, very embarrassed. She streaked to the medicine den, shame prickling her pelt.

Berrykit jumped out of the way of the falling Heathersong, a bit startled by the sudden disaster. But the medicine cat was back on her feet in only a moment, and she padded away to her den. The small, pale-furred kit turned her attention away from Heathersong to search for Leafshadow. Big brother.

(Aagh! Don't have time for any more, but I'll post the last of my cats tomorrow. Goodnight, everyone!)

((O.O wow Tink. That was alot! Sadly our old computer is dieing so the only way to post is to use my iPod. It takes forever to type on it lol))
EarthClan
Emberclaw noticed Earthpaw looked embarressed,"Earthpaw let's get back to camp. Tomorrow you can choose what training we will do. You should know what you need to improve on." He smiled warmly before turning his green gaze back to the forest. "See you later Pinetail," Emberclaw mewed before padding towards camp.

RockClan
Islandsong felt drained as she blindly followed her clanmates. Her thoughts consumed her and she forgot about reality. The phrophecy worried her and she didn't know why she was chosen. Marshpelt was also another factor. Something seemed to be troubling the handsome tom but she had no idea what. Ever since they had gone on a patrol alone together their relationship had been rocky. Oh how she wanted to press her side against his and stare into his eyes but he already had a mate, which he loved. Her dark blue eyes which were usually soft and clear were now hard and shadowed with different emotions. All she wanted to do was curl up in her nest and never wake up. Emberclaw had tried to cheer her up but he was somewhat oblivious. His optimistic attitude cheered her up alittle but she still had her doubts. The large dark ginger tom was fun to be around but Islandsong wanted someone to understand her doubts, not erase them. Letting out a silent growl of frustration, her eyes snapped towards the moon and she wished StarClan could tell her what was going on in her life.

(( Tink... that was impressive ;) ))

WaterClan

Honeydew shivered a few silvered water droplets from her golden fur, watching as they fell to the ground and broke into tiny, clear puddles. Her eyes were catching the moonlight, giving them a strange, eerie shimmer, almost glowing against the star-strung fur around them. She ran her fluffy tail over Rivertail's shoulders, snagging stray water droplets and drying him off a little. The she-cat had seen him shiver, and privately she had always had a little bit of a crush on Rivertail. She didn't want him to get sick, now, did she? Honeydew, herself, had never felt the cold, she was too used to midnight swims in the coldest of frosty nights.

EarthClan

Pinetail shrugged, his tail flicking in a dismissive gesture. "There's nothing wrong with your head in the clouds occasioanlly, Earthpaw." he mewed, wandering back to earthclan camp with the ground feeling damp and cold under his paws. He was a bit lonely, sometimes the stars and the trees weren't enough company for the he-cat.

Dappleheart was glad to be back in camp and she waved her tail at Pinetail. "Hey. Out for a stroll?"

Earth Clan

Pinetail cocked his head at Dappleheart, taking in her sunny-coloured pelt and piercing, sky blue eyes. He took a step closer and sat down, his tail curling over his snowy white front paws. The tortoishell tom was lonely, and despite his prickly personality, he wasn't going to turn down company on a lovely night like this one. "Yes." he mewed, eyes tracing over the ground before dancing up to meet hers, they were a warm, buttery golden colour in the moonlight, different to the usual amber."And you?"

Airclan

(Sorry, I'm on my Iphone, spelling cheeck changes my words sometimes.)

At Ashfeather's words, Pebblestar turned around. Not withh anger however, her blue eyes filled with understanding instead. She walked back over to the she-cat and layed her tail on her shoulder."Ashfeather, even though I'm leader, I'm still new to this." She sighed. "I don't think I've done one single thing right today, accept maybe when I managed to stand in the center tree and not fall off." A small smille crept on to the sides of her jaws, then quickly disapered again. "I need advice from other cats two, I can't do it alone. You are right Ashfeather, I should not have enterfered, but I was scared, yes a leader scared, of what Bloodstar might do. I had never even met that cat before, but when I saw how his blood-red eyes fired with anger.. I didn't know what to do. So I enterfered. And here you are, not hurt, are you? That's my job, to try to keep everyone in Airclan safe, and you're safe." She dropped her head a little. "My words where ones a kit would use to eritate an elder, and I vow not to use them again."

EarthClan
"I just got back from the gathering but I'm not tired." Dappleheart replied as she arched her back before sitting. Her golden tail swept from side to side in a slow rythmic motion. She lifted her blue eyes to look into his golden ones,"The cats chosen by StarClan to defeat DarkClan were revealed at the gathering. I'd tell you but our leader most likely will announce them soon." Her sky blue eyes shone as they reflected the moonlight, her gaze traveled down to her paws as she remembered all that had happened.
