As we stepped in, a dank, musty smell arose to meet us. I sneezed. There was a single person wandering around, and upon approaching them, they hissed and high-tailed it into an alley. I uneasily looked around. "Is it just me, or does it feel like something bad is gonna happen?" Volt and Ara shook their heads, and suddenly hooded figures jumped down from the buildings.
"Great, I knew I shouldn't have said that." One of the figures chuckled.
"Put down your weapons and bags and leave. Then we might let you live." The figures teeth glinted, as we slowly put down our things and backed away. The main figure jerked his head, and three came forward to get it. Suddenly, Volt raised her paw to the sky and howled, storm clouds gathering almost immediately and shooting down most of the figures and revealing their faces. I widened my eyes at the disfigurements, before I was thrown my bag from Ara and we made a quick escape. However, they were extremely quick. As they caught up, Ara chanted something, and a giant wall of bones erupted from the ground, and a harsh smack came from the other side. Volt and I shuddered as Ara sighed and we slowed down.
"This place has tons of vengeful souls and dead underneath and above the ground. I didn't know the wall would work that well." His eyes squeezed shut and his nose wrinkled.
"Ara, it's fine. It was either them or us," Volt said gently. Ara relaxed with a sigh. "Well, I believe it should be under that building over there." Volt pressed into him as they started walking, and I fell behind, watching the rear. They were talking quietly, and I gave them their privacy.
As we approached the building, armed guards growled at us dangerously. We walked around to the side, and Ara put his paw against the wall, and closed his eyes in concentration. Finally he opened them. "The door is right near here, about 60 feet underground. Let's go." The dirt shifted, and tunnel appeared. Ara went in first, building the tunnel as he went, Volt shaking as she went, glancing around carefully. As we headed down, we were plunged into darkness as Ara resealed the entrance. I quickly lit it up with light. Underground was darker than above, and that was something to say. As we made our descent, I could hear the skittering of insects rush to dig back into the soil. Finally, Ara came to a stop, and whispered, "We're here."
We opened up into a gigantic cave lit by torches held in sconces. A huge, breathy noise came from the place near the stairwell. Looking over, I saw a giant cerberus, peacefully sleeping. Ara turned to us, holding his paw up in a 'Keep quiet,' gesture. We nodded as we snuck to the door. He mouthed the words to the riddle on the stone.
'What swallows everything and makes everything grow?
What goes on forever and does not ever slow?'
Ara bit his lip, and I blinked. This seemed really familiar...
It clicked.
I quickly ran forward, and tried to write on the wall with my paw. It didn't work. Baffled, I turned to Ara. "Time," I whispered quietly in his ear. He nodded, and he began to scratch it into the wall.
Which awoke the cerberus.
With a earth-shaking growl, the cerberus stood up and Volt and I began to quake. "Distract it!" Ara said, concentrating on scratching. "How about you just hurry up and use your earth powers?!" I yelled at him as it approached, Volt and I darting in different directions. The clanging of guards was heard.
The cerberus growled even more in frustration as its heads tried to follow us. Ara called back. "The door has crystal in it, it diffuses magic." Volt almost had her head snapped off by the cerberus.
"Any time now, Ara!" Suddenly the stone slid open, and he yelled. "Get your butts in!" We quickly ducked in, the stone sliding shut just as the cerberus slammed into it.
Sighing, we slid down. "Could have warned us about that..." Volt sighed, relaxing. Ara muttered an apology as he snatched the tome and tucked it into his bag. He turned to the door, and pressed his paw against it, it opening again to be met with the cerberus once again. "Let's go!" We quickly dashed out and Ara pressed his paw against the dirt, quickly opening a tunnel and as we climbed in, the cerberus snapped against the wall for the second time--this time shaking the dirt. Volt screamed and stopped in her tracks. I quickly nudged her up, and she ran after Ara as the tunnel shook again. "Let's tunnel out of this village!"
About 15 minutes later, we popped out, dirt covered, outside of Macabre Village to see the sun setting. Quickly, we shook out our pelts. Ara quickly uncorked the bottle holding the horse spirit, and we took off at a strong speed away from the village and the animals inside of it.
Night came soon, and we had decided to find somewhere to actually sleep. No such luck for now, but Volt said that she can see a mansion over on a hill, and I see it too! Ara is gonna stay behind at the bottom of the hill, but Noteleaver is going to go and look for some stuff for us. Oh well. I'm leaving you here, goodbye!

Hello. This is Ara.
My sister still hasn't returned, but when I went up to check it out, I knocked at the door, and it sounded like a party was going on... But I looked through the window, and they're all women, except for one. He's really attractive to the ladies, but I just saw my sister with Volt giggling about him in a corner with a stupid lovey look in her eyes.
Yuck.
that's him.
Anyways, I need to figure something out... Hopefully. It's almost midnight.
---
Ugh... It's obvious these girls are under a spell. This is disgusting. He's been flirting with them for 30 minutes. I'm going to try this... Hopefully it works. I hope I put on the wig right, along with the makeup... To keep a log, I guess I'll put a picture of myself.
Wow. I look weird. Anyways, let's hope this plan works...
---
Yep. Ara was right. We were under a spell. Though he shouldn't have touched my Griffin.
Basically, Ara waltzed in acting like a complete girl. The creep went up to him and asked him to dance, and Ara accepted. As soon as they started dancing, Ara... Stabbed him. He's dead, and the curse is broken.
I got a picture of Ara...
He looks pretty angry.
The creep reacted to the last girl leaving the mansion, and gasped something out as she left. Have no idea what, but here's her picture.
Anyways, according to Noteleaver, that guy is a duke who traded his soul so he could build a harem.
It sort of is sad, to see people become like this...
But anyways, I need to help set up camp now. Ara is pretty jumpy about the whole thing, and he's being pretty protective now. I guess I can understand why.
So, we're currently being prepared for liftoff--Noteleaver and I. We're going to be going up into Aether City; a few days have passed since I've wrote in you. The other experiences are pretty important, but I'll tell you about it later, along with this.
- - -
And, I'm back. I'll tell you about my Aether City experience now.
It was easy enough getting up there--almost too easy. It just was unsettling, seeing everything so quiet and peaceful after Macabre Village. We quickly made our way up into the clouds, landed softly. The floor felt softer than anything I had ever felt--I wondered how it was supported. Animals of all kind seemed to be traveling to one place, and we were quickly pulled into the flow.
Coming out into a giant marketplace, we made sure to stick together. "Ah, there's the vault!" Noteleaver said, pointing above us. Two humongous dragons flew around the vault, chained to the roof. It was ever revolving due to the dragons pull.
I, however, was pulled into the marketplace's riches. Looking around, I saw a stand selling cloud candy--much like cotton candy; except that it has different weathers. I paid for a thunderstorm cloud candy, and bit into it, my tongue tingling as a tiny bolt of electricity ran up it. The sweetened cloud had a magic spell cast upon it making it slightly more dense. I took another bite, and the tiny shivers ran up my tongue once more. Grinning I poked it with my finger, getting another slight shock. The vendor laughed at my behavior. I would've stayed there forever, but Noteleaver pulled me out of my delightful trance. "There isn't enough time. Save that for later, just put it back in its wrapping." I reluctantly covered it up in the translucent plastic bag and tucked it into my larger pack and buying 2 more for later, along with some bonbons the vendor also had--supposedly giving you a power for a few minutes. Noteleaver had to practically pull me away, and we flew towards the cloud.
Ah. It's time to sleep. I'll continue this later, Griffin. Goodbye for now.
Woke up! I guess that you could say I was exceedingly tired. We need to get going, but I have enough time to write on here. I'm flying/gliding right now, and hopefully I don't bu̞̥̓̚̕ͅm̔ͪͭ͐͌̈́p͍ ̭̯͍͖̬̗i̞͈̺̘̜̹̜̿ͨͮn̽̈̽͜t͌̑͊ͪͫ̀*͍̖̰̩̗̩̎͐/̍ͣ̓̒̔̌̅-̙̖͎͌͊̎̏͂͝*͈̲̻͙̦͗͌͒̈́̚͟*͒ͩ̆̃͐̉̚-̟ͧͫ̄̓ͧ-͙͔͛̃ͤ̓ͭ-̠̳̤̠̼̿ͦ͘ͅ-̸͕̗̹͙͈̹͉̎͒̌̔
Sorry about that. I ended up bumping into Noteleaver.
(Now she's glaring at me really intensely. I get the feeling she's angry about something. I would talk to her about it, but she's being super scary right now and I wanna live to get back home.)
Anyways, I need to keep writing about Aether City. Sorry! I got a bit distracted there. But I can feel Noteleaver's stare just digging into my neck and it's giving my chills. D:
SO,
Lemme write.
I apologize for any terrible writing that comes up. I haven't been writing lately, so my writing isn't quite up to date, and the fact that I also have to focus on where I'm going, AND lookout for random monsters that might appear. Plainly, it sucks and is terrible, and OH MY GOD, NOTELEAVER IS SUPER ANGRY. SHE'S YELLING AT MY FOR WRIT͓͖̙͕̱͑̈͌̕ͅĪ̧̫̮̙N̜̿ͦG̹͡ ͍̅͌̽͗̉́I̲͎̭̘ͣ̏͐̾̌̏́N̪̳͍̿ͭ̾̆̑̿̐-̰̘͒ͮ-̥̣̠͍̖͗ͮͤͩ-̹͌̕-̤̤̙̝̫̭͔͐́̌͌-̨͕̠̇̈́ͣ-͓̬͉̦ͤ̎̏-͈̖̟̙̲̹̰ͩ̈́ͯ

ooooh wow noteleaver left a ton of curses. i decided to be nice and scribble out for ya, griffin, seeing as you're a child of some sort c: oh, btw, this is ara
personally, i agree with noteleaver. arisa, i'm going to hand this back now, but please, stop writing in it and actually do your job. also, i like this purple pen. i have noted that you've been writing my dialogue in this color. if we escape eternal damnation and such, i request that you continue to write my speech in this color. - volt
My companions seem to have terrible grammar. And I can't correct it because they wrote in pen.
Wait, Noteleaver's bad grammar was probably due to the fact that she was angry.
Hopefully.
I don't want to be surrounded by idiots.
Aaaand, Noteleaver is glaring at me again... Putting you away now. I PROMISE TO WRITE IN YOU LATER, BUT I DON'T WANT TO BE MURDERED.
