"I sucked it up, now come on. We will review a few herbs then practice hunting!" he mewed. "If I didn't suck it up my mentor would claw off my ears! If you think I am hard on you, you should have seen my mentor!" he huffed. I remember Dustycloud, dang that tom was harsh to me! he thought. He remembered when he died. The odd thing is, he didn't care. Nothing had filled his emotion, just coldness. He had only attended his vigil for half of it, then he went back to my den as a warrior.

"Alright!" Briarpaw had fire in her voice and a passionate twinkle in her eye. "I'll suck it up and be as good of a warrior as you are Toadleap!" She raced out ahead of him, "C'mon, I'm excited!" She had never been this excited to look at plants before.

He purred quietly then picked up his pace to be side by side with his apprentice. He walked out of the camp, looking for some herbs.

Briarpaw slowed and followed next to him. Her eyes scanning the forest for any plant that could be a useful herb. "If we find anything we should bring it back to Frost-Tail," she mewed suddenly, thinking of the she-cat.

Toadleap nodded. Once they were in the territory he saw a few stems of burdock. "This is burdock, it is used by chewing into a juice then applied to a wound to stop infection and cure it." he mewed, picking off one of the tall-stemmed thistle. He layed it in front of Briarpaw's feet. "You can chew it up now, but make sure it is all the way chewed. Then I will apply it to your shoulder. Your shoulder will need it, just in case." he mewed, sniffing the air for more herbs.

After he lay the burdock in front of her paws she leaned down to sniff it. The strong scent of the herb tickled her nose and made her sneeze. Reluctantly, she took it and started to chew it up. "This tastes awful," she mewed through what she had in her mouth.

Toadleap felt pity rush through him, but pushed it aside. "Chew it up! Would you rather have an affected wound and possibly die?!" he growled lightly. Shaking his head at his apprentice, disapproval coated his words though he felt pity and love inside of him.

Pebblepaw let out a sickening yowl as he stretched his leg and heard a small pop. His brown fur stood up as he stood up. He turned as watched Ashstar go by, "Ashstar!" he purred, bounding over to his mentor. "What will I be learning today?" he asked, cocking his head to the right.

Briarpaw shut up and started chewing the burdock faster. It soon turned to poltice and she stopped then padded over to Toadleap and pawed at him; unsure what to do with the stuff in her mouth.
