how do you guys decide when you're done adding extra decorations/lyrics to your coding?
i'm really, really lazy with coding right now. i do it because i feel like it's expected of me. so i stop adding decoration when i stop adding text. like, the decoration/lyrics are only to complement the other stuff anyways, right? so just whenever i feel like it i stop adding. this was neither helpful nor enlightening, but whatever.

i do a little bit to get by, but that's it. i'm no expert or anything.

i kind of just don't. usually the coding decides for me, in that i run out of room to put anything else.
although i do always always strive for less negative space on my code wherever it's possible.

i always choose specific stanzas/lines to
stuff onto my form. sometimes, i do add a
little too much and end up having the redo
plots of the layout. :c
then again, most of my quotes/lyrics all
appeal to me in some way. i usually pick
out a specific set of words and use those to
try to embody my charrie, if that even made
and sort of sense.
example, if it's something like the likes of
breakeven by the script, my charrie will
be a heartbroken little puppy. if it's something
violent, like little monster by royal blood, he
or she will be pretty mlg noscope doritos.
to wrap this all up, it sort of depends on my
playlist. god, i got so off topic.

i'm slowly emerging from my hiatus because school is over

i do need a little help, though
i recently got a macbook pro [like literally about a few hours ago]
and wanted to know if anyone else used mac and coded as well?
i'd really appreciate someone helping me out a bit with tips or tricks, because i know the format/resolution is different and coding appears differently. agh.
especially since it's been months since i've even coded at all
i've only ever used windows sooo idk how my coding will look from now on cx

sneaking in 'cause I haven't been on in a long time.

aurie I have a macbook air and from my understandings from other people's coding the screen for coding is almost smaller.
most other coding looks compacted or wrongly sized to not fit in the post so I'm guessing mac's have a smaller format.
I went from a windows to a mac too. you basically just have to play around until you get used to the size difference, but coding works just the same as on a windows computer/laptop.

usually i just decide enough is enough when i've
filled up all the space. usually for lyrics i just
pick out a bunch of lines i'd like to fit in, and
if i've already finished the form i'll just leave it.

what do you think makes a good coder?
i just think anyone who can add a personal touch
to their forms. some of the coders i stalk i think
i could recognise one of their forms even if i didn't know
who had made it. i think it's really cool when people
experiment around a bit or have a kind of 'signature-te-
chnique' they use in a lot of their forms.

how do you decide what traits to give your characters?
i don't decided before i'm coding, unless my character
has set ones, in which case i usually try to code based on
what they're personality is like. anyway, i almost always fill
in their details after i've got everything else sorted. by
then i base what traits i give them by what their picture looks
like, what lyrics i've used, things like that. tbh honestly some-
times i still get stuck and steal traits from my other forms. lol.
