"Thanks for the warning." I stepped up onto it then hopped down to the other side, careful to avoid any branches. "It's just up ahead. Over this rise." I walked up the slope and paused at the top, looking down into the hidden pool.

"I think so, I left then a basket of stuff when I had my tail" she smiled "let's hurry before they leave" she grabbed his arm and bolted ahead pulling him along, she let go of him when she tripped and fell on a log

My eyes widened as she suddenly pulled me along. When she tripped, I helped her up, smiling. "Slow down, you're gonna kill yourself." I shrugged. "It's not like they can go far."

"Ok" she smiled and blushed that he had helped her up "excuse me?!" She called to two figures a little while away

"okay." Sam replied. he suddenly stopped and listened. "did you hear that?" he asked. it sounded like someone tripping, but it could have been an animal. then he heard someone call out. "hello?" he called back.

I followed Crystal out of the woods. I saw two people, one a girl and one a guy. The girl watched us warily, clearly distrustful. "It's okay, we're not enemies."

"What in the world..." I watched a girl and a man about my age come out of the woods by us. I crossed my arms as the sailor assured us that he wasn't an enemy.

"I tell you were not enemies Skye" she said to the girl setting down her baskets, the gem right next to her fish fell out

I shifted my cold gaze to the girl. "If anything, you just gave me one more reason not to trust you. I never told you my name, and I don't know either of you."

"I've seen you before, I'm a siren, I left you and Sam the basket" she said questioning why she haven't seen her

I hesitated. Now that the girl mentioned she was a siren, she did look familiar. "You're not a human then?" I raised an eyebrow. I didn't realize it was so popular to have legs.
