Emeraldsky hears the bush rustle as well, and sees the she-cat with an unfamiliar scent step out. "Who are you?" Emeraldsky asked, stepping in front of Lightningpaw. If this she-cat was a rogue, Emeraldsky needed to protect the younger one.

Heather stared at them, snarled again, and leapt at Emeraldsky with her claws unseathed

Lightningpaw growled and stepped from under Emeraldsky. He might be younger, but he was a great fight and big. He snarled and leaped at the rouge, claws unsheathed and sored down her flank, deeply.

Heather simply grunted as she swiped a paw at the apprentice's head, sinking her claws in and through his ear

Lightningpaw yelped and kicked her off with his strong back, unsheathed paws, and jumps on her back scoring his claws over and over into her, until the blood wellnup fast.

This time Heather hissed and shook herself, flinging the apprentice off roughly as she raked her claws down his stomach

Emeraldsky watched in horror as Lightningpaw got swiped at by the mysterious cat and then attacked her back. He then got raked in the stomach. Emeraldsky had to do something. She grabbed Lightningpaw by the scruff and set him down by a tree. "Get back to camp, get help!" she meowed sternly before turning back to her attacker. Emeraldsky waited for the she-cat to make a move, and started circling her, watching her every move.

Heather stopped clawing the smaller cat and turner to the larger one hissing, her fur covered in blood so she looked russet instead or her usual color.

Lightningpaw snarled in rage. "Put me down, I'm not a helpless kit!" he said when she put him by the tree. "We don't need help! And I'm not leaving you alone." He leaped back at the rouge, ignoring Emeraldsky and raked his claws down her face, hard, just barely missing her eyes.
