How I got him home!
I got him home by kneeling and softly meowing till he came closer, then I wrapped him in my jacket. He fought a bit, but then calmed down. I gave him some cat treats. I talked to him on the way home, and told him that he would be a fine cat once we got all the mud off of him. I pet his head a bit, and he twisted around. He was really grumpy, I guess he was tired. I had a cat bed in the basement unused by Gull. When we got in the door, Gull ran around in circles, curious about the new cat. I set the stray in the bathroom, he was still covered in mud. Going down to grab the cat bed, Gull followed me. I warned him about tripping me again, he has a bad habit of getting between my feet. I grab the bed, and start up the stairs, but remember my jacket. Throwing it in the washer, I continue up the stairs. I close the basement door, and set down the cat bed in the the corner. Going into the bathroom, I sit and look at the stray. "Now how are we going to get all that mud off of you, eh kitty?" He hisses and backs into the corner. I fill the bathtub with water, then back out of the room. I don't know what I expect though. I hear him hop on the side of the tub, and slip in. I run in to help the thrashing cat out of the tub.
