Once upon a time, this rainforest was a huge tourist attraction because of it's rich history. The humans that invaded frightened away all creatures, including the stray cats, deep into the rainforest, where they were quickly picked off by desperate predators. However, when floods and erosion began, the predators began to roam closer to the human paths- the land was deemed unsafe for humans. That's when the remaining strays took the forest back. They formed a clan under the watchful eyes of their ancestors, later naming it "Rainclan" due to the heavy daily rains and humid climate. Since it's creation, Rainclan has been living in peace aside from the occasional famine and the natural attacks of predators, but they fear the possibility of a much bigger issue.

As of late, Starclan has gone silent, not a single visit being paid to the medicine cat nor the leader. They fear something big and dangerous is on its way to challenge the stability and strength of the wise Rainclan.
Yet, what the danger is, they have to find out for themselves.

1. Tess' rules apply here, just like any another roleplay. This means no human curses [warrior curses are fine], fade to black when mating or kitting, no spamming, so on, so on.

2. Please post at least two well-written sentences with clear spelling, the use of punctuation, and good grammar. No posts like "Flarepaw sat down. Flarepaw yawned and fell over."

3. Use realistic names as well as realistic fur colors/eye colors. Red and purple aren't accepted, and I will only accept a few cats with heterochromic eyes.

4. Do not go more than three pages without me, also, no 1x1 posts. Make sure other people respond before posting again.

5. Each person is allowed to have one high rank [leader, deputy, medicine cat, and medicine apprentice].

6. No OOC chat on this thread unless it's attached to a RP reply or it's for the good of the group. If you need to ask somebody something, do so over PM.

7. No being your own crush or mate- that sucks the fun out of things. Going along with this, no insta-mating. When your cat first becomes pregnant, please wait at least fifteen pages before having them give birth. I might change the birthing rule if things are slow.

8. Don't control other people's characters, and don't kill off another person's character without their permission.

9. No overpowered or "angelically sweet" characters... Every cat has their flaws here, don't pretend to make your character perfect!

10. You may have a maximum of six characters; three male, three female. Some of your characters will probably die through the course of the roleplay. When this happens, you can throw in new characters to replace them if you feel moved to!

Camp - Used to be a big tourist attraction before the rainforest became unsafe for humans. It was a place of meditation made very long ago, but as humans left, Rainclan took it over and made it their camp.

The "Star Pool" - A naturally-made, reflective lake that's a day's journey away from the clan's territory. Here, the leader receives his/her nine lives, the medicine cat and the medicine apprentice visit their ancestors every moon, and where a regular apprentice comes to visit once in their apprenticeship with their mentors.

Path to camp - When a warrior finishes hunting, or training their apprentice, the cats are guided home by these man-made stones across a river. During hot season, many cats play in this calm, shallow river.

Main hunting grounds - This is where most cats go to hunt- though the water is deep, good-sized fish often come up to inspect the surface for food. Small rodents also scurry along the rocks. It's almost always predator-free, making it a safe place to hunt... If you can climb and swim.

Training grounds - This is a perfect area for apprentices to begin their practices of fighting in wet conditions, swimming, fishing, and hunting rodents on slick stones. Mentors must supervise their apprentices at all times here.

The climbing tree - Here's where cats catch most of their birds, and where mentors teach their apprentices how to climb trees and hunt birds. Area should be inspected of any predators before use.

Fruit bats - One cat - Common - Always active at night, if they nestle on a low branch, they're easy to catch when unaware.

Name & Meaning;; Nightfrost. 'Night' for her dark pelt, 'Frost' for her cold and determined personality.

Personality;; Nightfrost is a cold-hearted and distant cat, typically straying away from her clanmates unless they are in need of help. She prefers silence over noise- the silence is where she gathers her thoughts. She is notably stubborn, and will only do what she's told if she agrees that it's needed to be done. She will, for the most part, follow the leader's orders. Unless she finds them foolish. On the other hand, when it's time for her to do her job, she is a ball of energy. With each patient, she is determined to heal them and will try anything in her power to get them well. If she fails and her patient dies, it hits her hard, and she ends up beating herself up over it. Another positive trait is her "secret" fondness of kits, and while she feels too awkward to play with them, she will occasionally drop off a ball of moss or honeycomb for them.

History;; Nightfrost was clan born in the clan, to a shaky couple. Her father wasn't so keen about having kits, so when his mate fell asleep, he took his three kits and ran into the forest with him. He attempted to drown them, but the night patrol caught him and managed to rescue the one surviving kit. They were taken to camp, the father chased off of Rainclan territory and the news broken to his former mate that all the kits were dead, except one. Nightkit was named that very day by the bitter queen, known as Blackfeather. Blackfeather became untrusting of all of her clanmates and an overly protective mother to Nightkit, to the point where she begged the leader to delay her apprenticeship.

The commands weren't met, but much to her mother's relief, Nightpaw requested a life that involved less physical fighting. She wanted to become the medicine cat's apprentice. The elderly medicine cat, Longleaf, agreed, and so she was taken in as his apprentice. Longleaf died when Nightfrost was about twenty-two moons, leaving the responsibility of being medicine cat heavy on her shoulders early. It took her a little while, but now, she's fully confident in what she does.

Personality;; Lightningtail is a bundle of boundless energy, and as his clanmates know well, it's very hard for him to keep still. He's a chatterbox, full of honesty and optimism, and on the other hand, can be a bit of a flirt at times and is pretty flamboyant. This tom loves to show off, namely for the ladies, but sometimes in attempt to make the other toms jealous. He's a sensitive sort of guy, which often times has the she-cats fawning over him. He'll shower any she-cat with compliments, play with the kits, or help the apprentices train in order to flaunt around his "good guy" side.

History;; Lightningtail so far has lead an average life. He was the only kit in his litter, therefor, it was easy for his parents to spoil him. It was a bit of a challenge for him when he reached apprenticeship, since he had little experience with play fighting and had a lot to catch up on in training. A few cats bullied him for this, and in order to prove himself, he began challenging these bullies to races. In these races, he was able to defeat most of them, and managed to shut them up.

With hard work and plenty of help, Lightningpaw was able to become a warrior, under the name "Lightningtail."

Personality;; Stormpaw is a fragile cat, it's a wonder to many why she decided to become a warrior's apprentice. She is skittish, paranoid, and easily breaks down into tears. She has no issues with striking up social conversations, but most of the time, other apprentices avoid her. She bares a strong sense of insecurity, believing herself to be "worthless" and "weak." As you might be able to guess, she doesn't have as many friends as some of the other apprentices do. Most just find her to be plain weird, others see her as an attention-seeker. Kind of ironic, considering her name, huh?

History;; Stormpaw was born into a big litter of four kittens, but their birth was in the middle of a famine. Two of the kittens died within their first two months of life, leaving Stormpaw and Riverpaw the only survivors of their litter. Together they were adventurers, and mischievous ones at that. They would sneak into dens together, and occasionally when they saw the chance, sneak out of camp. The duo made the mistake of straying too far from camp one day, when the sun was beginning to set and the predators were beginning to stir. Riverpaw accidentally stepped on a tree boa, mistaking it for a leaf, and was constricted to death. Stormpaw ran back to camp, in tears, explaining to her mother what tragedy happened to her brother.

No punishment was given to Stormpaw, but she found herself traumatized by the experience. She's hesitant to leave camp everyday, and when she does, she makes sure that she's very close to another cat for safety.
