Riverpaw still had enough air, she grasped Poppypaw's scruff and then kicked off of the ground to propel herself upwards, her head hit the ice where it was thickest, it hurt, but it cracked. She flipped over and kicked with her hind legs, it began to shatter, but they couldn't crawl through. Her head began to bleed and her vision doubled.

Pepper at first felt betrayed. Why would she hide this from me? he screamed inwardly. She told me though, and she seems nervous. Oh, I love her too much... Pepper looked at her, wisdom in his gaze. "I promise, I won't tell a soul because... Honeybee, I need to be honest about something..."

Addercloud smirked. "Hm, how about a nice refreshing walk?"

Poppypaw wriggled free and broke more of the ice. He picked up Riverpaw and tried to crawl out through the ice hole.

Silverpool nodded. "Sounds good." She agreed.

Mintfrost sighed dramatically, "That would've been embarrassing if I guessed wrong. How long have you two been mates?"

Riverpaw nudged him upwards, her vision growing foggier by the second, she tried to pull herself up, but just ended up breaking more ice as she stepped, she eventually got to the rocks, everything was so cold... and then she blacked out.

Pepper shuffled a paw, snow dusting the air. "I uh I-I... L-like... Y-you..."

Addercloud stood up. "Come on."

Silverpool got to her paws and followed him.

"Embarrassing!" Dewfur joked, and rolled her eyes for dramatic effect. "Anyways, I believe we've been mates since May 2015 for 5 or 6 moons."

Poppypaw headbutted the ice one last time so they could crawl through.

Amber mewled pitfuly as she was carried into camp. She cried in pain and trembled in fear

Oakleaf set down Amber gently in the center of camp. He saw painful looking wounds all over the newborn kit and felt sympathy towards her. "Where's Brightstar?" he asked no cat in particular.
