"Tell me how exactly you think I was forcing myself upon her," Crekara meowed.

"You didn't answer my question," Janine said calmly. "Why should I trust you?"

"She didn't want you 'round her, either, from what I could tell," Jackdaw stated.

"True, but that isn't the same thing as forcing myself onto her," Crekara pointed out. "I had every right to defend her as my own up until the point where she told me she wasn't my mate anymore. Then I let her go. Of course, I was going to chase after her to discuss something important, but nothing more. I accepted the fact that she didn't want me as her mate from the moment she said it. You, on the other paw, have every intention of going after her and making her your mate, even after she's already clearly stated that she wants neither of us. That includes you." He smirked.

"And I intend to do just that," Jackdaw said. "So, if you'll excuse me..."

Crekara took another step towards him, preventing him from making any forward movements. "I'm not quite finished with you yet."

Jackdaw rolled his eyes. "Will ya just go away?"

"Oh, I will," Crekara assured him. "But only when I see fit. Now then..." He began to circle Jackdaw. "You claimed you weren't looking for a fight, yet you deliberately went after a she-cat who you knew already had a mate. Now, if I were absent, it would have been a different story; however, I was there and very clearly defending what was mine, yet you refused to let up. I sense there's some contradiction between your words and actions there. Care to explain?"
